Read above but with an added little twist of our own. Nikkie composes and arranges all the violin parts and arranges the vocal harmonies to fit the groups needs and abilities.
We are a two member acoustic band based out of East Freetown and New Bedford in the process of expanding out the band auditioning/adding drums, bass, and lead guitar. We have been together for 4 yrs as CrossRoads. Our first year, we started as a 9 piece Christan Rock band, then downsized to a 3 piece acoustic variety group (piano/guitar, violin, vocals) playing christian, country, classic rock, and acoustic rock hits in an uplifting and inspirational set list. This year, our violinist had to leave the group due to personal issues beyond her control, so we are down to two original members. I, Nikkie Barton, am on piano and acoustic guitar, and share lead vocals/harmonies with Kristen Houde. Our love of music and performing is very evident in our performance and have been bringing a growing crowd and fanbase to our shows each year.

2. Dress Up !! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." [I Samuel 16:7]
3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." [Proverbs 13:3]
4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." [Galatians 6:9-10]
5. Look Up !!... To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." [Philippians 4:13]
6. Reach Up !!... For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path." [Proverbs 3:5-6]
7. Lift Up !!... Your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING." [Philippians 4:6]
Serenity of the waters… Of the creek that's lined with trees… Is such a calming feeling… And sets our mind at ease…
God's beauty is so prevalent… Pine trees reaching high… The waters softly ripple… Mountain peaks reach to the sky…
The birds in the trees sing their songs… Merrily chirping away… As if they are trying to tell us… It's the beginning of another day…
In awe of the surrounding beauty… I sit on the shore and stare… At all of the nature around me…

Crossroads I'm one of your biggest fans..and i have to say that the last message sent with that video was not from me. I for one reason or another got a virus from my myspace account and either the virus automatically sent this to you OR someone has my password I'm not sure..i deeply apolgogize for tghis profane video...even though it came from no fault of my own. Please ERASE that last message because if it's a virus it may spread. AND do not press PLAY to watch the video because the same thing may happen..the saddest thing is...this video has been sent to a ton of my friends on my friends list. And i am absolutely livid, i've been sending comments to all my friends telling them to be careful and that it was not me. I thank you for your understanding.. And i just don't get why folks do what they do..i will defiinitely report this person to myspace security.
