Waumba is the Swahilian word for "creator" and Waumbaland is where our preschoolers are cared for in small groups. Waumbaland is open 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the first worship service. Waumba Land is a clean, safe and carefully staffed environment where your children will be well taken care of while you enjoy the worship service. We want preschoolers to know that:
God made me God loves me Jesus wants to be my friend forever
Upstreet is where our children meet in small groups. Children learn how to study the Bible, to worship through singing, and quality friendships with other kids and adult leaders. It consists of both a large group energetic worship experience and small group time. We want every child who is transitionsing into the 6th grade to have made the following decisions:
I need to make the WISE choice I can TRUST GOD no matter what I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated.
The Middle School Ministry is an exciting and challenging place for students to come and learn about their relationship with God and with each other. We have developed a strategy to lead middle school students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Strategy: To create environments where middle school students can...
prioritize their relationship with Christ. influence their friends. experience personal ministry.
The foundation for what middle schoolers are taught is summed up in "The 7 Checkpoints For Students." These seven areas are discussed systematically in small groups and highlighted during camps and retreats throughout their middle school and high school years.
Our mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where students prioritize their relaionship with Christ, influence their friends and experience personal ministry. InsideOut meets every Sunday from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in the main auditorium. This is the place to experience great worship, in depth teaching, and get connected into "small groups."
Student Impact is all about students serving. High school students have the opportunity every Sunday morning to work with pre-school (Waumba Land), children (Upstreet) middle school (xtreme) as a small group leader, story teller, technical person etc.
Community groups....The place to build long lasting, meaningful friendships. Community groups are small groups of six to eight single males, six to eight single females or five to six married couples that meet in a group member's home for relational connection, Bible study and prayer.
Why Does Crossroads Do Community Groups? We believe that this is the place where significant life change occurs. Community groups are where real life and real issues are discussed. This is the environment where we celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the tough and disappointing times. It is a place to be encouraged, equipped, and challenged to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
When Do Community Groups Meet? Each community group decides when and where it wants to meet. We can help you find groups that are meeting on a particular night or in a certain area of the city and connect you with them.
How Long Does A Community Group Last? Many community groups form and immediately commit to meet for 12-24 months. However, we also offer Starter Groups which are an introductory step into group life that last approximately eight weeks. At the end of eight weeks, the group members can decide to continue as a community group and extend their commitment, or they can dissolve to find other group members. The length of time that your group will meet together is decided by your group.
Who Will Help Me Get Into A Community Group? Sometime in the near future we will be offering "Connect." "Connect" will give you the opportunity to meet others who are also interested in community groups. The "Connect" process will put you in a starter group for eight weeks and then you and the other members can decide or not if you would like to continue as a group. If you choose not to go on as a group then the process starts over until you find the group that fits you. If you are interested in a community group please indicate on the back of your Sunday bulletin tear off or you can email us at community@crossroadslebanon.com
Sounds Like
Foyer:: In the foyer we welcome you into our home, embracing you and your family. We hug, greet and receive you just as you are. In your home the foyer is a place where you make a connection with your guests for the first time. You take their coat and help them feel at ease, your goal is to make them feel comfortable. The same is true at Crossroads, from the first visit we want everyone to fit in and feel right at home.
Living Room:: In our living room we take it one step further. At home after you welcome someone in, you head to the living room to sit and get to know each other better. You discover similarities and start building friendships. At Crossroads our living room is a place where we gather together for fellowship and ultimately develop lasting friendships.
Kitchen:: At Crossroads the kitchen is where you go to seek the closeness only found in a Christian family. Just like in your home, only the closest and most intimate friends spend time in your kitchen. This is where you go to dig deep into God's word, to celebrate victories or mourn over losses. Through our small group program, it is our prayer that everyone will find this type of connection... to find their place at the kitchen table.
Imagine a community where you can not only check out Christianity and seek answers to spiritual questions, but you can encounter God through worship experiences that meet you where you are. Imagine a community that is not a place of rigid rituals and religious practices, but is a safe community to encounter God at your own pace and see how He works in our world today.
Imagine a community where you can grow in authentic relationships and learn to live with purpose and meaning. A community where lives are being changed everyday. A community where everyone is accepted, regardless of background; married, single, single again, rich or poor.
Imagine a community that isn't something that people do on Sundays, but is a living community, woven into the fabric of their everyday lives. Imagine a community that is not only passionate about serving people inside the church, but has a deep conviction to serve others who are in need, both locally and around the world. Imagine a church community that isn't dull, predictable or passive.
What if... a church existed in the Lebanon area that was devoted to creating and providing environments where people can learn and grow, becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.

Wow - how exciting to see new faces every week. There is a certain "feeling" in the air around Crossroads - and I don't think it's just spring fever! The excitement is building and lives are already being changed through this awesome church ministry. Keep it real for Jesus!
Wow - the concert Friday night was awesome. Mike and the band were their usual, wonderful self. And Shaun Groves was a pleasure - funny AND gifted musically. This, followed by the great time of worship Sunday are just a couple of the many reasons I call Crossroads "home". Thanks a million!
The announcement about the addition of a person to head up the youth ministry at crossroads is GREAT! How exciting - we are absolutely stoked to be part of such a wonderful church. It's not even Wednesday, and i already can hardly wait 'til Sunday!
What an awesome time of worship this morning - wow. God was moving. The music and the message was great - and the coffee was awesome! : ) We are so blessed to have a church like Crossroads in Lebanon. I can't wait to see what the future holds. Strap in and hold on - it's gonna be a heck of a ride!
Hey guys, this week promises to be another great week. Hopefully we can beat the snow and get both services in. Take the time and get the word out and have people sign up as our friends on this site! See ya!
