Tommy Crain, from Franklin, Tennessee, is best known for his 15+ years of work with the Charlie Daniels Band. A pioneer of Southern Rock, he wrote songs and performed on over 20 CDB albums, winning a Grammy for The Devil Went Down To Georgia. You will undoubtedly recognize his fiery guitar work and blue-hot slide playing!
Crain's newest musical venture incorporates heart-felt blues, funky rock, and R&B. In 2004 he hooked up with Atlanta-based blues band, The Crosstown Allstars, and the Southern rockin' blues were born! Tommy Crain & the Crosstown Allstars features Crain on guitar, slide, and vocals, Bob Rumer on guitar, slide, and lead vocals, Jack Hall (a founding member of Wet Willie and the backbone of one of the funkiest rhythm sections in the Southern Rock genre) on bass and backup vocals, Bob Jones on keyboards and lead vocals, and Towson Engsberg on drums. The Crosstown Allstars continue to appear as a stand alone act around the Atlanta area.
The band's current cd is an original project titled Give It To Ya and is available through CD Baby and Hittin' the Note. Tommy Crain & the Crosstown Allstars are currently at work on their second album.

Can't thank you enough for all of the lead guitar inspiration. Have enjoyed everything from Lonesome Boy From Dixie to Funky Junky and beyond. Your lead guitar playing is almost like the "Cool Electric Lead Guitar Player Roadmap"....you play with facility, soul and passion. God Bless your family.
I am so very honored to be your friend. It made my Thanksgiving to see you accepted my friend invite. I have been a fan for many years. I was also happy to see Taz accept my invite. I told him my Dad played like he did and at gigs people used to think Dad was Taz. You all are such incredible musicians. Thanks for a lifetime of inspiration! Leo
