We're a talented, experienced group with great harmony and musicianship. We have played across the country and will probably be in a city near you soon. Check it out!!! CROSSTOWN.
The Crosstown band is:
Ray Cruz: Bass and Vocals
Self taught musician since the age of eight Ray has participated in national acts such as Point 1 0 and Getten Even and local Indiana bands such as the last band he co-founded and led; Crosseyed Dotti.
Mari Tomita:Piano, Keyboards, and Vocals
Mari is from Tokyo Japan. She is classically trained since the age of five. She performed as a wedding keyboardist for several years before moving and living in the United States. From 1994 to 1999 Mari studied music and English in the states. After returning to Tokyo she worked in a Blues Brothers tribute band before joining a blues band starring Toshie Negishi, a famous national Japanese actress. Additionally Mari started her own Piano school and taught for over four years. In 2005 she won the green card lotto, returned to the states and worked as a keyboardist in a touring band and a duo. She joined forces with Crosstown members in November of 2006 to begin full time touring and cruises.
Scott Middleton:Drums and Vocals
Scott began playing at age eight with the Wabash Marching Baton and Drum corps. He continued to play off and on, became involved in the school's music program and jammed with friends. He played regularly in the Indianapolis area and earned a Bachelors Degree in percussion performance from The Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana. There he performed and studied with world renowned artists and performers such as Kenny Aronoff, Donald Erb and Gerald Carlyss. He went out on the road originally in May of 2005 with Dana Jordan. Since then he's been a member of other band lineups like 4am and Tipsy McStagger. To spite great obstacles and set backs he has remained a constant force in the working music scene.
Gerald Coplien:Guitar and Vocals
Gerald grew up in a lifestyle that promoted only music. He picked up his first instrument at the age of 3 years old and it’s been a roller coaster since. Like any other musician he has carted himself around the states, from gig to gig and with band from band. He has worked with 38 Special, Joan Jett, Buddy Guy, Cheap Trick. He has played and toured with Baby Huey, Busted, Pulse, and Tipsy McStagger.
Hope you're having a great night playing your last show together. I had a blast the past couple of nights with you all, as usual! Thanks for all the good times and great music!
