MR SMALL'S IN PITTSBURGH, PA: Bullshit venue which got a bunch of people arrested who were sticking up for little kids being man-handled by the usual dick bouncers. Please do not support this venue. If you go there and get in trouble you deserve whatever happens to you. This place cost a lot of guys time and LOTS of money. Don't be a sucker.
HM or "HARDCORE MARKETING": Bogus "booking company" run by nobodies. Mostly dealing with metal bands. These scammers are the worst, and all who are like them. if you don;t know the people from your region who are booking the shows, don't play the shows or don't support them. Don't let some nobodies try and make a profit/exploit the scene. This goes for ALL the bogus "booking/marketing companies" that have popped up not just here, but everywhere. Fuck all these scum bags.
There's always scammers lookin' to rip bands w/ bogus "pay to play" bullshit and venues that are just out to make a buck and bouncers looking to fuck up your good time. Be smart and stay away from that bullshit.
There are good people, venues, and bands out there doing positive things. Find the good stuff and stick with it... wherever you may be.

In 1997 Samoan Rob started a hardcore band. That band still plays today... poorly. The band is from Youngstown, OH. Crowd Deterrent plays hardcore, plain and simple. The band does not tour and the band does not want to come to your town. The band does not show up to most scheduled shows. The shows they do show up to often end in violence and cars being stolen as well as poor musicianship. The band does not care. If you are ugly, angry, or just have low expectations you will probably like this band. The band has been nothing but a 12 year escapade of property damage, financial loss, and most importantly, lots of friends found along the way.

Homeland Invasion is an international punk and Oi! music festival, conceived by Dead City Dealers guitarist Mario Sapanero. This event will last a full 2 days, May 28th and 29th 2010, and feature over 30 bands on 2 stages.
