BIOGRAPHY: Hailing from Los Angeles, CROWNED BY FIRE was conceived in early 2006 by guitarist JUSTIN MANNING, vocalist JOHN THE IMPALER, drummer J.R. CRAMPTON and bass player DREAD!. This band is built on a strict set of guidelines. Those being you have to be of the highest standard musically, without losing the all too important looseness that most of today’s over produced hard rock acts seem to overlook. Think tight and punchy like PANTERA but dangerously loose like GUNS N ROSES while keeping that big band feel by using multiple amplifiers and a large triggered drum kit to set that “over the top” vibe and being able to back it up with serious musical prowess. The Gods of Metal have spoken in the year of 08' by signing CROWNED BY FIRE to the London based label MMP UK (MOLTEN METAL PRODUCTIONS). In the winter of 08' CBF spent 5 weeks in FLORENCE ITALY recording at the prestigious LARIONE 10 STUDIO. The debut album titled PRONE TO DESTROY is set for a May 09’ release with worldwide touring to follow. CROWNED BY FIRE is proud to be part of such an ambitious and influential heavy label.
Guitarist JUSTIN MANNING was taught by some of today’s leading guitar heroes. ZAKK WYLDE actually took Justin “under his wing” for several years teaching him and bringing him out on the road with him on two different tours. First a BLACK LABEL SOCIETY headlining tour, and then the all mighty OZZFEST. He has also worked extensively with GEORGE LYNCH of DOKKEN and the infamous YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. He is the next guitar hero. Swinging a Les Paul (actually given to him by Zakk Wylde) down low through a set of dual stereo Marshall Amplifiers. That is until his recent endorsement with Schecter Guitar Research.
Vocalist JOHN THE IMPALER with his foot in a dive bar, trip to the Moon approach to writing, think MOTORHEAD’s Orgasmatron and BLACK SABBATH’s Symptom Of The Universe while throwin’ back a cosmic cocktail with ALEISTER CROWLEY during a CHARLES BUKOWSKI bar fight. Owner and Operator of one of Los Angeles County’s longest standing Body Piercing only shops, "JUST PASSING THRU". John’s love for horror, sci-fi, tribal history, mysticism, underground metal and classic rock are evidently clear in his writing, creating an original melodic doom feel.
Drummer J.R. CRAMPTON is the artillery unit of CROWNED BY FIRE. What he does on the drums is unobtainable by most drummers’ standards. With machine gun like double bass and unbelievably fast hands and once compared to “the oiled thunderbolt IGOR CAVALERA”, is hands down one of the today’s greatest metal drummers. Bringing a positive attitude and an eye for business J.R. is an irreplaceable part of this band.
On Bass we have the almighty DREAD! Guitarist/vocalist/hedonist by trade. Mastermind behind Los Angeles’ POTTYMOUTH and MANDOWN. He brings to the table what LEATHERFACE does for a warm family gathering. Long time amigo and punk/metal hero, -you kool kids may have seen him on the road the past few years burnin’ riffs on guitar for the infamous GREEN JELLO. We’re proud to say DREAD calls the notorious CBF HOME BLOODY HOME!!!…

"Los Angeles, California's CROWNED BY FIRE is a newly formed heavy metal band that has one of the scene's more talented guitar players leading them into battle versus the over-populated and mostly over-hyped hard rock acts that they will be competing against on their way to the top. I don't think they're going to have any problems gaining label attention quicker than most due to the fact they have that 'Us Versus Them' vibe going on that Guns N Roses gave off when they first hit the Sunset Strip, yet clearly back it up with serious musical prowess as the Gunners always did. Η νεαρή τραγουδίστρια σε δήλωση της εξήγησε ότι τα χρήματα που βγάζει με τον ιδρώτα της, ίσα-ίσα που της αρκούν , αφού οι εκκεντρικές της εμφανίσεις της είναι άκρως πολυέξοδες.
Χαρακτηριστικά ανέφερε ότι "κάθε γιούρο που βγάζω πάει στα διάφορα ρουχα που φοράω στα Show".

The mechanized brutality, incessant, gratuitous and in slow motion, contrasts with bleak moody and soundscapes and their remnants of pathetic human hope and beauty.
