Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary's Blurbs |
About me:
At Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary we’ve enclosed a hillside with a custom-designed caging system to provide the healthiest and safest possible environment for our six-year-old girls Thor and Gracie, their parents Mohan and Raja, three-year-old Alexis, our African lioness, and Izzy, a two-year-old Siberian mix tiger.
It’s a place for them to do what comes naturally – from taking a dip in one of their pools, searching for food hidden throughout their yards, or soaking in the sun from various platforms. Here on the hillside they have room to run, pounce, and take full advantage of being surrounded by natural landscape.
Our animals were all rescued from unfortunate circumstances where their quality of life was being severely compromised. We have established Crown Ridge as a permanent home for these exotic cats as part of our larger commitment to conservation and wildlife preservation. Through both on and off-site presentations, tours, youth programs, and our website, we seek to educate people on the importance of habitat conservation and wildlife preservation. Tigers are an extremely endangered species and we must all work together to preserve this amazing and unique animal.
Mohan, a white tiger, is our oldest tiger here at the sanctuary and is the father of Gracie and Thor, He currently weighs 275 lbs. There’s hardly a day you don’t get to hear Mohan’s thunderous roar throughout the sanctuary. He enjoys soaking in the sun from his platforms and swimming in his pool

Raja, the mother of Gracie and Thor, is an orange Bengal tiger that currently weighs 384 lbs and eats around 8 pounds of meat a day. She has an extremely good disposition and is friendly toward all of her visitors. If you aren’t watching closely she will sneak up on you when you least expect it!

Thor is the athlete of the group and has lived with her sister, Gracie, her entire life. She has a high metabolism and enjoys playing with all of her enrichment items. You can tell her apart from Gracie by finding the heart shaped stripe on her left thigh.

Gracie is about 95% blind and faces the most challenges each day. She has virtually memorized her enclosure and can usually be found sunbathing on her deck or splashing in her pool. She is usually one of the first inside ready to eat, and she especially loves deer meat.

Alexis is the only resident that is not a tiger, but she fits in with no problems. She enjoys playing with her orange ball and pumpkins in the fall. She also loves her big tractor tires. Alexis is our resident diva and once you meet her you will definitely know why!br />

Izzy already weighs about 400lbs. and he is only two years old. He gets time to play in Raja’s yard while she stays inside to remain cool during the hot summer days. He loves playing with his ball on the zip line and popping in and out of the pool. He is always ready for an adventure and has been known to show off for his visitors.
