Royal-Tee was born in Charleston, SC as Ade' (pronounced Ah'-Day) Adisa Vanderhorst, which means "Royal Priesthood" in the Nigerian language. The legends that have come before him that inspired and molded him into the artist he is today are: Nas, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS (Boogie Down Productions) and other outstanding lyricists from the 80’s. Royal-Tee’s first single "Love Thing", featuring artist Jus K, received airplay and was requested by many listeners across the country. He also has collaborated with Kalako of PowerSource Entertainment (Atlanta, GA), for the hit single, “Monkey Roll,” which received national airplay in Mississippi, Germany, Canada, Athens, Alabama, Tennessee, Augusta, GA and the Top 20 charts in St. John, Canada.
