Alright then! Rush’N Attack from the northern part of Holland has a brand new EP called “White Smoke“. It’s Rush’N Attack their second EP following on the “Donut Hole EP” which was released in February 2008. We from Crucial Attack Records are really proud with this new release!
In case you don't know Rush’N Attack This Dutch outfit offers a stylistic blender mix that for the most part surprises, but only gradually wins you over. With “White Smoke” they still continuing their own kind of twist on hardcore-punk; Tense, twangy lead guitar plays over screamed vocals with a Henry Rollins intensity. The arrangements have a tight, MINUTEMEN flavour, though Rush’N Attack clearly rocks on the side of hardcore.
After the release of their debut EP “Donut Hole” the band started to play more and more shows and continued the rampage they already started with the release of their demo early 2007. Now one and a half year later we where more than excited about “White Smoke”.
For fans of Black Flag, Annihilation Time, Fucked Up and New Bomb Turks.
RUSH’N ATTACK their new WHITE SMOKE E.P is now available at the CRUCIAL ATTACK WEBSTORE!
Originally inspired by bands like Maximum Penalty, Breakdown, Fahrenheit 451 and Leeway, State of Mind have been playing groovy NY styled hardcore since 2005. Now, four years later, the band present their second full length album entitled MENTAL GOLD, to be released by Crucial Attack Records.
It’s a new chapter in the history of a band that has previously released a demo, two 7 inches and a full length. The release marks expansion, musically as well as lyrically. Influences ranging from hip hop to classic rock can be found, while on the lyrical side they take a critical stance towards passiveness and lack of awareness in today’s society. Not very surprising for a hardcore band, you might think, but it’s turning into a rare feature these days.
MENTAL GOLD was recorded with the help of Dirk Miers at De Studio and Nico van Montfort to make it sound the best they could. After releasing the album on May 16th the band will immediately hit the streets for another tour around Europe. Another highlight this year has been the release of their first video for the song One Lie To Live. Turning five hours of film into a video of 2:30 minutes it shows the energy and power the band gives to and gets from the audience. Visit their MySpace or Vimeo.com to check it out. Without a doubt 2009 will be the best year for STATE OF MIND so far!
Two of Belgium's finest bands on one piece of wax, showing where they're best, live on stage! This LP is recorded live at the Loco Loco Festival in Belgium. Sunpower play 15 songs, also including a new one! And Reproach rip through 21 songs in 17 minutes, so you know it's good!

After the totally awesome debut Ep 'Doves' and contributing great a compositions to the Glory Days compilation and Leatherface tribute... the Tenement Kids are back with their first full length effort named We’ve All Been Down. And what a record it is!
Crucial Attack Records is proud to release the vinyl version of this record, coming on 160 grams vinyl in a thick gatefold sleeve. The 11 new songs are recorded by Nico van Monfort and show that the Tenement Kids steadily grown into a mature band playing the music they love in a wide spectrum of punk and rock music. The CD version is out on the great Belgian label Funtime Records.
'I’d like to think that the Tenement Kids were already born before Gijs, Bert, Tim and Martijn saw the light of day. Whether it’s the sixties with The Kinks and The Byrds, the seventies with The Adverts and Stiff Little Fingers, the eighties with Embrace, Joy Division and U2, the nineties with Therapy?, Alice in Chains and Jawbreaker or this millennium with Hot Water Music and Against Me!. Each decade had its effect on the Tenement Kids. Not to mention their years of playing in punk rock and hardcore bands, which account for the band’s right attitude. An attitude we don’t see very often in modern music or the people who are involved in it.'
If you like everything faster than fast Crucial Attack has a nice treat for you. Crucial Attack Records will be releasing the debut 7" by Cracks In The Wall. With a demotape, lots of shows and a UK tour with Reproach already under the belt, it was time for the band to take it to the next level. Eleven songs of fast, furious and angry hardcore punk were recorded with Erik from Citizens Patrol. Get into it.
Colored vinyl limited to 100 copies and a digital download included!
Gewapend Beton started out in 2003 and released their first demo cd-r ''Embryo Punk'' the same year. Then the band recorded 7 songs in 2004 and it took almost a year before the split LP with the Bakfiets boys “Nederpunk Gaat Door” came out. After lots of cool shows Gewapend Beton hit the studio again in 2007 to record their first full length LP/CD ''17 Until We Die''.
In 2008 the Embryo Punx strike again with “Empty Batteries” and after the intensive touring around Europe became even more outstanding! Six songs of perfect blazing hardcore-punk with an intensity which proves that after all their batteries are fully charged! Out on Crucial Attack and La Familia!
No hypes, no trends, just pure impact! Since their foundation in 2003, Strike First have been doing what they like best. Nothing more, nothing less.
Where the first 2 releases on the infamous Crucial Response Records had a strong Cro-Mags feel to them, the sound has evolved into a heavier and more metallic kind of hardcore. On the Human Devil 7' this change was already audible, but on the new record 'Gospels for the deceived', their sound has changed even more. Strike First blends R.J.'s haunting roars with blazing guitar riffs, solos and crushing drum beats to create another 25 minutes of pure rage. The 11 songs point out that Strike First's musical power and rage have risen to new levels.
This progression will be heard as the album unfolds it's metallic crossover heaviness. With standout tracks like 'I Deceiver', 'No Salvation' and 'Death Marches On' The band once again proves that they have found a great way to balance on the fine line between oldschool hardcore and heavy trashmetal.
Vinyl version is coming on 160 grams vinyl in a thick gatefold sleeve and includes a digital download. Mailorder copies even get a nice extra as well.
Holy shit, Citizens Patrol strikes back again with the Dead Children EP. After their great debut Sick Routine, released last September and alot, i mean alot! of shows across Europe, the band recorded 6 songs with Nico van Montfoort, just before they head off to the United States. But no way Citizens Patrol is gonna slow down, these songs are even faster, rougher and seem to let singer Kenny explode even more. Released in the USA on No Way Records.
Belgiums trashers of Damaged Goods are back with 10 songs on the Fever LP. After a solid EP on Not Just Words Records and playing shows across Europe and with one of the best hc bands ever, Negative Approach, Damaged Goods went down into Studio 195 to record this one sided LP. With 10 songs clocking in below 14 minutes, Fever is faster and with more crazy guitar riffing the friction will drive you insane. Out now on Crucial Attack and Crashlanding Records. Coming on colored vinyl with a laseretch on the B side!
Obnoxious, offensive, in your face, but this time having the last laugh, Room 13 will crack your head with their debut EP User / Abuser. With a smooth live reputation of getting pissed at each other during shows and getting banned from pubs, this young, nihilistic hardcore-punks are here to spill their guts. Room 13 recorded 7 songs at Studio 195 and Crucial Attack teamed up with Angry Youth Records to release the User / Abuser EP.
Hailing from the eastern part of The Netherlands comes a band that you would expect from the western and sunny side of California. The band started in 2006 and not long after that they recorded a demo which was well received by critics and fans. Playing festivals such as Light The Fuse/Trashfest and also attending the 5 year anniversary for Punx.nl shows that this band is not just a punkrock band but lots more. With ex- and current members of Beans, Antillectual, My Reply and Citizens Patrol they have a wide variety of musicians in the band and that's something you distinctly hear in their sound. Influences vary from the melodic sounds of Nofx ( take note off the melodic guitar intros), Bad Religion, No Use For A Name but with a harder edge than any of these bands using influences of hardcore bands such as RKL, Stalag 13, 7 seconds en old New York and DC hardcore bands like Minor Threat and Urban Waste. In 2007 their demo was re-released by Gummopunx/Misspelled Yuoth and Pick-up records. Not long after that they started to record a full-length album which is now ready to be released and to be played all summer. Brat Pack delivers 13 songs of full excitement and loads of melodies which will have you dancing in no time and also set a standard for the next generation of punkrock bands to come. A co-operation between Crucial Attack / Dirty Faces / Hako Bastards.
These Dutch bums are bringing you 4 punk tunes rocking to the max. Inspiration is drawn from bands like Black Flag, Cut The Shit, Annihilation Time and New Bomb Turks, but Rush N Attack threw these influences into a blender, shaked it and put in their own flavour, to give you this special taste. The result is the Donut/Hole EP, which is now available through Crucial Attack Records.
Citizens Patrol is hailing from the south of the Netherlands and play awesome straight forward hardcore. Imagine old NYHC like Antidote, Urban Waste mixed with some Spermbirds and a little US punk like Reagan Youth. Also could fit along the lines of modern HC like Violent Minds, Direct Control, Strung up or Amdi Petersens Arme. Either way you look at it, this shit definetly RIPS! Released in the USA on No Way Records.
26 minutes of heart-wrenching/kicking-and-screaming/sandpaper-throated punk/rock/emo-ish melodies. That probably doesn’t say too much, so let’s just drop some names of bands that the Tenement Kids have been listening to a lot in the last couple of months: Samiam, Jawbreaker, Dinosaur Jr., Leatherface, Motörhead, Fugazi, Hot Water Music, Hüsker Dü, Therapy? and Dead Boys. The result is 8 songs of totally rocking, raw, passionate punkrock.
CIVIL TERROR - RISING 7"EP (SOLD OUT) Civil Terror has only one motto and that is: ‘Put your pedal to the metal’, resulting in fast, raging terror not unlike Infest, SSD or Judas Priest. Since their demo sold out ages ago and the band got sick of dubbing tapes, it was time to release all 10 songs on vinyl. The songs have been mostly re-recorded, mixed and mastered so on the whole it should sound even better than the incredible demo.
Continuing the sound they started on the demo, KEEP IT CLEAR from Vancouver, Canada delivers 8 fast tracks of fast old school hardcore. We hear influences of Right Brigade, Floorpunch and old American Nightmare and therfore perfectly fitting on Not Just Words records. This is what to expect, so pre-order now. The EP comes with a free digital download ticket.
Balance started out late summer 2007 by 4 Swedish kids deciding to put together a fast and aggressive straight edge band in the vein of Floorpunch, Straight Ahead and Carry On, to name a couple of their biggest influences. They now deliver an EP that has all necessary ingredients: the X'es, the pictures, the singalongs and the songs.
Tim Vantol's "Road Sweet Road" LP is finally here. Nine folkpunk themes from a modern beatnik man. Haze colored 12" vinyl. 300 hand numbered copies, with four colored hand screened sleeve. Comes with a MP3 download code.
