Cruelty Campaign self-released a CD-R in January of 2000, "First Maneuvers: A Semi-Live Document," on the occasion of their first live show. Their debut full-length CD was released by Tesco Organisation Germany in November of 2000. CC contributed a track to the 2000 Zaftig records annual xmas noise comp and had Conure remix one of their tracks for the Ambient Intimacy v. 2 comp.
They played shows in Los Angeles, Brisband, Oakland, New York, and Philadelphia. Their last show was in September of 2002, opening for Der Blutharsch and Deutsch Nepal. The band dissolved in the spring of 2003, and both are working on their own projects. Scott played a solo set in December of 2003 at the Information Wants to Be Free festival in Berlin.
