   THE CRUISERS: General Info
Member Since8/15/2007
Band MembersPeter Driscoll and the Cruisers featuring Big Chief Billy Cuthbertson are what the music industry calls a ‘kickass’ rock and roll band, playing the classic rock and roll hits of the 50s and 60s with faultless precision and perfect authenticity. They feature the hits of Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochrane, Elvis Presley, the Everley Bothers, Billy Fury, Buddy Holly and much much more. Based in Bangkok, the band play throughout Asia by invitation and are available for concerts, festivals, corporate events and other special occasions.

The Boys Just Love The Cruisers

Peter Driscoll leads the Cruisers as the charismatic singer and raconteur, drawing on a wealth of experience in a lifetime of fronting bands in the tough and competitive U.K. music business. Peter has rubbed shoulders with the cream of rock and roll greats including Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Cliff Richards and Billy Fury and has shared the stage and played with more visiting rock and roll favourites than he cares to recall.

Big Chief Billy Cuthbertson is a rock and roll star known throughout Australia for his ability to make any band swing when he has that golden Fender bass in his hands and the tune in his head. Billy has starred with the likes of Wolf Mail, Memphis Mike, Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges and Glenn Patrik to name but a few and is working on his new instructional video “There Ain’t No Money Past the Fifth Fret”.

Prin Thonglor is the guitar phenomenon of his generation. University-educated but devoted to a career in music, the kid nails the licks and chords with accomplished aplomb and dazzles his fans with some of the most authentic rock and roll riffing since the heyday of the genre back in the 50s and 60s. Prin is well on his way to becoming the jazz guitarist of choice in his country – the Land of Smiles.

Leon Triffic is a journeyman drummer from the shores of Australia and after a lifetime on stage, has built a reputation as a musician who happily adapts to whatever is thrown at him. He is as well known for his rock-star sense of humour, but is perhaps better known for his ability to maintain a precise tempo from beginning to end of any Cruiser song.

InfluencesThe Everley Brothers, Billy Fury, Gene Vincent, Marty Wilde, Eddie Cochrane, Bill Haley, Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.
Sounds LikeALL OF THE ABOVE!
