Midwest's newest Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band out of Springfield/Nixa, Mo. A compilation of excellent musicians with a deep tradition of music through out the past 30 years. Cruize Control was formerly known as the Nixa City Limits Band and specialized in southern and classical rock. When forming band gathered up musicians that had played together in the eighties as Cruize Control and decided to revive the name to better suit our "TROP-ROCK" show. Rick Lamb, lead vocalist performs Jimmy Buffett as you haven't heard before. Actually sounds like him! Also performs other covers in the classic and southern rock genre such as Bob Seger, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Doobie Brothers, Black Crows, George Thorogood, Eagles, and several others. Self taught guitarist at the age of 18, and had performed solo gigs for the past 10 years. Started the Nixa City Limits Band in 2003 which evolved into Cruize Control. There is plenty of experience as George Long Jr. has played the drums since the age of 6. He has shared the stage with bands such as Head East and Charlie Daniels. Mark McConnell has also played the guitar since he was a youngster and has family roots who played professionally as well. He also plays the ukulele and some lead guitar as well as lead vocals. Rick Mulheron is self taught bass player who used his time in the Navy to learn how to play. Dan Blizzard has joined the band as keyboard player and also plays the fiddle, guitar and banjo. He has 10 years in the business and has added greatly to our tropical sound. David Smith probably most accomplished, currently plays banjo with and has toured with the Roy Clark band for 14 years. Adam Johnston, lead guitarist is the newest member of the band and although at the young age of 21 plays like some 30 year veterans. Joe Maharg has the duties of sound tech and also sits in on the drums from time to time. A great mix of musicians that guarantee a quality show.
