1991 Gypzy Tartz
Ian forms glam rock band Gypzy Tartz with Andy, Ady & Sarah & play extensively around Suffolk.
1992 Friday Rock show demo wars
The band reaches the final of BBC Radio 1s Friday rock show demo wars, (sadly beaten into second place) just missing out on a BBC Maida Vale session.
1993 12" Fish support
The Tartz win East Anglian Battle of the Bands competition, release a 12" single entitled "Prisoner of Love" on the bands own Tartzaphone records label which becomes a favourite of Alan Fluff Freeman. This in turn earns the band a support date with Fish on his UK tour.
1995 crush
Ian & Andy form 3 piece high energy powerpop trio Crush. Release 15 track CD Invisible which sells out of its initial run of 500 copies, notch up over 150 gigs including support slots with Paul Carrack, Bad Manners.
2002 Deluxe version
Ian & Andy recruit Sarah & Angie, form deluxe version of Crush. debut at giginthepark a 3-day music festival held in suffolk supporting Sam Brown. Release Postcard EP which earns the band BBC local radio support.
2003 Dr Feelgood
Band continues to gig extensively with headline gigs to over 1,000 people at local festivals for Radio Broadland plus a support slot with Dr Feelgood at giginthepark2003 where they release their second EP entitled Hope.
2004 On the Telly
Weekend 10 track CD released, title track is a finalist in the Brit Trusts UK songwriting contest & is chosen by phone poll & Celebrity panel as the song for Children in Need by BBC Look East. Band performs live on BBC National TV to over 1 million people plus live unplugged broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk. Gigs at Norwich Waterfront & headline slots at local festivals plus supports to The Selecter & The Stranglers. Sponsorship deals with Sinwear Clothing & Ross Custom Cabinets.
2005 Celebrity links
Ex Gypzy Tartz lead guitarist Ady Chapman enlisted. Band builds own 24 track studio the boileroom and begin writing material for Kiss of Life EP which is released at giginthepark2005 where they support The Selecter, also on the bill are Buzzcocks, the Hamsters and Geno Washington. The bands set is watched by Andys little Brother Ed Graham from the Darkness who is suitably impressed.
2006 Suzi Q
The band play giginthepark in august with Suzi Quatro, The Beat and the Pirates.
