Crushing Day is Brian Ford, Jim McFaul, Ross Tyrie, Craig Schuster and Larry Fitzgerald. Since 1997 Crushing Day has been in the forefront of the Baltimore music scene, playing over 200 shows per year. Though mainly concentrated in the Baltimore/Annapolis area, they regularly visit Ocean City, MD and have traveled the East coast from Killington, VT to Key West, FL.
Crushing Day has repeatedly finished atop the '
Maryland Music Monthly' publication's reader's poll as the one of the top modern rock bands in the region. In 2001 and 2002 they won the honor, finishing first in a Baltimore/Washington, DC region that boasts an abundance of music talent. Crushing Day has also been featured on
98 ROCK and has headlined numerous events for both
98 ROCK and the now defunct 99.1 WHFS. Crushing Day has shared the stage with national acts, Puddle of Mudd, SR-71, DaDa, The Posies, Driven’ and Cryin’, Ace Freehley, Lita Ford, Child's Play, Jimies Chicken Shack, The Pat McGee Band, The Ravyns, and Dig.
Crushing Day's fan-base is large and its audience is loyal. The testament to this is a full schedule of repeated bookings all over the region and every Thursday, for the past 6 years, jam-packing The Barn in Carney, MD. As-well-as the thousands of CD’s and T-shirts the crowd has gobbled-up like candy. Their e-mail list consists of thousands of addresses which are updated weekly with the tour schedule as well as other pertinent information.
Crushing Day's 'Radio Fools' is the band's debut release. A well-written compilation capturing the bands essence ... infectious lyrics, melodic, semi-aggressive guitar licks and tasteful, driving rhythms. It has created a sensational buzz in the region and is beginning to reach ears nationally, creating positive feedback throughout the industry.
Stay tuned...this debut release is merely a sign of many good things to come...
