From there I joined the Marine Corps at age 19 and served for four honorable years. Been to combat three times and Japan once. Here is the deal. I am looking for a lead female singer from the Detroit, Michigan metro area. She must be between the ages of 18 and 28. She must be a great singer in the pop/rock/alternative genre.
If you refer any female singer or singers that meets these specifications, and we audition her. I will submit (up to a four (4) song demo, if you submit a demo with more than four (4) songs it will not be submitted) your material to one (1) of several major label A&R representatives that signs your genre of music. I will have no involvement with your project beyond submitting your material. You will be under no obligation to me either contractually or financially. This is simply a favor for a favor.
In the event that a singer you refer is the one we sign for this project. I will submit a demo (up to a four (4) song demo, if you submit a demo with more than four (4) songs it will not be submitted) of your material to 58 recording company A&R representatives for review. These include both major and independent labels which consist of primarily of Vice-Presidents and Managers of their perspective recording companies. There is no guarantee that you will receive a recording contract. But you will be heard.
This is how you qualify. If you know of such a singer have her go to www.myspace.com/dawnsongs and review the page. If she has an interest in auditioning instruct her to listen to the first song “How We Die” and determine if she is able to perform that song. She will be auditioned in a recording studio with that song. If she is interested have her make contact through Dawn’s page. ** Make sure she puts your MySpace address in the first line of her contact. (Example: Referred by www.myspace.com/youpagename ) This is the only way you will be credited with the referral.
