I'M A MAN, SEEKING A COUNTRY. I WORK EVERY OTHER WEEK ON A DRILLING RIG, TRYING TO "MAKE HOLE". I SPEND EVERY OTHER WEEK MAINTAINING MY HOME, CARING FOR LOVED ONES, AND MAKING ENDS MEET.
THROUGHOUT ALL THIS, I STRIVE TO DEVOTE ALL MY TIME AND ENERGY LIVING IN A WAY WHICH WOULD PLEASE MY MAKER. I SPEND A FAIR AMOUNT OF TIME GETTING CLOSER TO GOD, THROUGH STUDY AND PRAYER. I FEEL I AM MAKING PROGRESS, SOMETIMES MORE THAN OTHERS.
I REALIZE THIS ISN'T THE MOST POPULAR THING TO DO THESE DAYS. HOWEVER, I'VE COME TO REALIZE THAT IT IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT TO BE TRUE TO ONESELF.
IN FACT, I TREASURE AND CHARISH TRUTH WHERE IT IS TO BE FOUND. LIKE A COMPASS, THIS HAS HELPED ME GREATLY FROM GETTING TOO FAR OFF THE PATH THROUGH LIFE.
I HAVE WORKED IN MANY DIFFERENT FIELDS THROUGHOUT MY LIFE; UNDERGROUND MINING, COMERCIAL FISHING, CONCRETE WORK, PAINTING, HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATING. BUT SO FAR THE BEST THING I HAVE FOUND IS ROUGHNECKING. IT ALLOWS ME TO SPEND THE MOST TIME DOING THE THINGS I LOVE TO DO.
I LOVE TO; SPEND TIME WITH MY THREE CHILDREN (ASHLEY 21, CHRIS 19, AND BRITTANY 18). BEING CLOSE TO MY PARENTS. ALSO AS I SAID, GETTING TO KNOW MY HEAVENLY FATHER BETTER.

Even though these Temples are beautiful, they pale in comparison to the selfless service which is performed therin. Above that is the grand love our Father in Heaven has for His children in the blessings of the temple. As those who seek to become Christlike reach forward with faith in Him.

PEOPLE WHO CANNOT SWALLOW THAT WE EXIST MEERLY TO BECOME FERTILIZER FOR BEINGS IN THE FUTURE.
PEOPLE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW TO GAIN A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THIER CREATOR.
WHO WOULD APRECIATE KNOWING HOW TO GET ANSWERS TO THIER PRAYERS, AND COULD USE A FEW BLESSINGS IN THIER LIVES.
I HOPE TO SOMEDAY, MEET SOMEONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN MORE THAN what THIS LIFE HAS TO OFFER.

We know when we are living in the authentic self when we are more loving and caring toward ourselves and others, when we are not hurting ourselves or others, when we appreciate and care for whatever is in our lives, and when we can be of service without looking for a reward.
From the same God comes forth both judgment and mercy. When you take your blessings for granted, you run the risk that God will take them away from you and give them to somebody that will appreciate them. How many of us have gone through this week complaining when we should have been praising, griping when we should have been on our knees thanking God every day for his abundant blessings to us? “Without the Lord I am nothing and I have nothing.” Here’s a very simple application. Our prayers matter. It makes a difference whether or not we pray. Paul is saying, “When I thought I was going to die, you prayed and God delivered me." We will never know until we get to heaven how many times the prayers of others rescued us. But I believe in that great day, when all the secrets are revealed, we will discover that we would have fallen but someone prayed for us. We would have given up but someone prayed for us. We would have made bad decision but someone prayed for us. We would have given in to temptation but someone prayed for us. We would have retaliated but someone prayed for us. We would have crumbled under pressure but someone prayed for us. When all is said and done, we will learn that God used the prayers of others to enable us to make the journey from earth to heaven, and we will discover that without those God-inspired prayers, we never would have made it. I went to the hospital with her and her back is swollen and black and blue. She is in so much pain. He is on my mind all the time. I pray he is safe out there and will come home safe real soon.
