I have a background in photography and 3-D design and only started painting consistently about 4-5 years ago.I create purely for the art of creation but am VERY appreciative when others enjoy my images.
Biggest influences are creepy kids images, day of the dead, and hoodoo but this is not the limit of what I let inspire and influence me.
For extra fun and bucks I produce real simple retro style paintings for decoratin' kids rooms.
Music
I would be lying if I said music didn't influence me.I spent the majority of my life around the music industry and since I can't play I started doing photography for bands and making homemade "art sculpture" percussion pieces for friends.

Movies
Ah, my favorite escape....preferably independent but since independent is the new Hollywood I'll take a chance on some bigger films too.
Television
TV rots your brain and puts creativity to sleep.Turn it off and do something.In honor of Feb 19th 2009 , make the choice to give it up! ANd instead of just throwing outdated TV's in the garbage do something creative with them(or they still work as VCR and DVD players) . We will hosting a TV show at Rink Gallery in November to demonstrate to folks ways to repurpose your old TVs. Of course in honor of getting TV out of your life you could take it in the backyard and give it a good smashing, it really is fun...

I sell at various local and regional events and can be found every month at the Plaza District's Outdoor Market during Live on the PLaza on Second Friday's March-October.I also currently have a booth at Bad Granny's Bazaar selling vintage and retro apparel and accesories and at Rink Gallery selling vintage influenced housewares and gifts(a small selection of my handcrafted goods are also at Rink). We will be opening our own gallery and boutique on November 13th called JuJu Gallery at 1612 N. Gatewood Ave in the Plaza District.It will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 11a-7pm or by appointment.
