The Cryptomusicology Kit - Now Available
A couple years ago I intended to release a double-CD collection of all my surviving music from about 1979-1990. I did some work on that project, but decided - based on my experience with these things - that I didn't really want to wind up with a closet full of them. And, I decided I was too cheap to set up a website and sell downloads, though that might still happen.
Instead, I'm offering a single CD of mp3s and artwork. Musically, it includes everything I thought I was going to put on the CDs, and even more (since I've recovered some more archival material in the meantime). Since the content on the disc is the important thing to me, the packaging is the most excruciatingly simplistic DIY production imaginable.
This is over 30 tracks of experimental and twisted electronic pop music - a world of tape loops and cheap synthesizers - and a little artwork and liner notes you could use to recreate the double-CD yourself. If you're so inclined.
It's $12 (within the US), or $15 (outside the US). Leave a message here, or email brentwilcox@yahoo.com.
