Crystal Dimension’s story began on the spring of 2007, when Damià (bass) and Maiol (keyboards) decided to retake a band project they had temporarily pushed into the background in order for them to be able to grow musically as active members of other bands. After a while, they felt prepared to fully create the music band they had thought about some time ago. They began composing songs while looking for the rest of the musicians the band still needed.
The first one to join the band was Carles Muñoz, a friend of both, Damià and Maiol. His cello playing would award their music creations with a brand new and special dynamic. With some songs already in stock and once the band was made up of three members, Damià asked his friend and music school partner, Jandro, to join in the group as the band’s guitarist, as they had previously done some nice musical work together and they got on really well. As a result, Jandro joined the band project and contributed not only with his wide instrumental skills, but composing some of the songs of the band, as well. That way, he became the ideal guitarist for the band. Jandro also brought a good friend of him inside the band, Marcel (whom he had played along in another band), as the drummer, who fit perfectly in the project they were carrying out.
The instrumental formation had been, by then, successfully completed and, under the provisional name of “Faerie”, the band project became a real band. They rehearsed all summer through, and later on, they began the search for the last but not least important member left for the band: the vocalist. The members of the band got on extraordinarily well with each other, and great progress was made on the following months, as far as their song-writing and instrumental base settings were concerned. Despite that fact, finding the voice the band was looking for and needed proved especially difficult, as they wanted a very specific kind of voice. As a result, the band decided to record a demo of the instrumental versions of two of their songs: “Fantasy pt. II (The Journey Begins)” and “Wings of Chains”. Thanks to the demos, they finally found the vocalist they needed. Sergio turned out to be the voice they had for so long been looking for, as well as great person and friend.
Once the band was complete, its members started their thorough rehearsing work and, at the same time, they began to prepare their live performances. Unfortunately, at this point, Carles (cello) had to make a very hard decision, which would affect the original formation of the band. Due to his growing amount of University work, he had to leave the band, becoming then a special guest on the band’s recordings. After that, the band decided that finding a new cellist to play on stage was not their main aim, and so, the band was finally established. The band’s current five members named it Crystal Dimension.
On June 2008, with powerful and experienced musicians in operation, the band decided to record their first (self-produced) demo (this time with vocals) called “The Journey Begins”, which contains the band’s first five songs and an introduction theme: “Fantasy pt. I (Once Upon A Time)”
Now Crystal Dimension is fully ready and eager to share their music with the world, hoping to make from their passion and music their public’s enjoyment.

Biografía en castellano
La historia de Crystal Dimension comenzó en la primavera de 2007, cuando Damià (bajo) y Maiol (teclados) decidieron retomar un proyecto que habían dejado temporalmente de manera que primero pudieran mejorar como músicos formando parte de otros grupos. Después de un tiempo, se sintieron totalmente preparados para crear el grupo que había sido su principal motivación. Comenzaron componiendo algunas canciones mientras buscaban el resto de miembros para completar la formación.
El primero en unirse al grupo fue Carles Muñoz, amigo de Maiol y Damià. Su interpretación en el cello dotaría a sus composiciones de una dinámica especial. Con algunas canciones preparadas y ahora que el grupo estaba compuesto por tres miembros, Damià pregunto a su compañero en la escuela de música Jandro si quería unirse al grupo. Ellos dos antes habían trabajado juntos y las cosas habían ido bastante bien. Con Jandro dentro del proyecto, se añadían no sólo sus habilidades como guitarrista sino también su gran capacidad como compositor. Asimismo, Jandro trajo al seno del grupo al batería Marcel, un buen amigo suyo con quien ya había compartido grupo anteriormente. Marcel encajó perfectamente con la idea de proyecto que estaba saliendo adelante.
La formación instrumental estaba completa, y bajo el nombre provisional de «Faerie», la idea se convirtió en una realidad. Ensayaron durante todo el verano de 2007 y más tarde se lanzaron en busca del último pero no menos importante miembro del grupo: el vocalista. Todos los miembros de la banda se llevaban muy bien y habían hecho grandes avances juntos en lo que a nivel instrumental se refiere. A pesar de esto, encontrar la voz que necesitaban fue cuanto menos difícil, ya que querían un estilo vocal muy específico. Por ello, se decidieron a grabar dos versiones instrumentales de “Fantasy pt. II (The Journey Begins)” y “Wings of Chains”. Gracias a esas dos versiones, por fin encontraron el cantante que buscaban. Sergio resultó ser la voz que habían estado buscando tanto tiempo, así como una buena persona y buen amigo.
Una vez el grupo estuvo por fin completo, sus integrantes comenzaron a ensayar los temas con la nueva voz y al mismo tiempo a preparar sus futuros conciertos. Desgraciadamente, en este momento Carles (cello) se vió obligado a tomar la dura decisión de dejar el grupo debido a su creciente cantidad de trabajo derivado de sus estudios, convirtiéndose entonces en un miembro de sesión especial para las grabaciones. Tras este desafortunado percance, la banda decidió que no necesitaban inmediatamente un cellista a tiempo completo para tocar en directo, así que finalmente el grupo quedó establecido. Los actuales cinco miembros del grupo cambiaron el nombre al definitivo Crystal Dimension.
En junio de 2008, el grupo se lanzó a grabar su primera demo completa autoproducida y esta vez con voces, llamada «The Journey Begins», que contiene las cinco primeras canciones del grupo más un tema introductorio: “Fantasy pt. I (Once Upon A Time)”.
Ahora Crystal Dimension está lista para compartir su música con el mundo, esperando poder hacer que el público disfrute con sus canciones.

I gave the demo a couple listens. It's pretty solid, not bad at all. I'd definitely say just keep doing what you're doing and you'll keep getting better. You're already well on your way.
