...SALEM - There's only one thing that could bring a Palm Beach, Fla. resident to the North Shore this time of year. With the dedication to make it through wind, rain, or snow for just one weekend in Salem, John Foley said he had to visit for "the best holiday ever." Halloween.
...Foley said he chose to visit the Psychic Fair and Witchcraft Expo, 176 Essex St., because he has received positive feedback from friends and family members who have visited in the past.
"My brother and sister-in-law came last year and said they were blown away," Foley said. "This has been a dream for me. It's great to be here."
Hosted by the deceaced Shawn Poirier and Christian Day , this annual event takes place everyday throughout the entire month of October. Participants have the opportunity to experience all kinds of psychic readings, often, aura photography and interpretations, astrological guidance, palm readings, spirit mediumship and clairvoyance, along with a variety of magickal goods by local vendors.
...For nearly 20 years, the Psychic Fair and Witchcraft Expo has brought thousands of visitors to the area who are interested in learning and exploring all aspects of the psychic world, which is why Foley said he knew his trip to Massachusetts was a must.
The Palm Beach resident wandered the streets of Salem dressed as a warlock and said the best part of his day was spending time with Clairvoyant Linda Weinbaum.
"She was fantastic," he said.
Foley said she sensed what he was feeling in an instant, and was able help him to clarify some family and business issues he has been struggling with.
"She alone has made this trip more than worthwhile," he said.
