It's easier to say what I DO NOT like, which is rap, r&b, and rap. Other than that, it depends on the individual song itself. But to give you an idea, I like things from Depeche Mode, NIN, Cure. I also like girl artists like Sarah Mclaughlin, Helium Vola, Vas, Nightwish, Sheryl Crow, Dido, Milla Jovovic. I really like anything spooky, creepy, sad and ethereal. I also like a lot of classic rock, especially Pink Floyd, the Doors, any trippy acid hippy music. I also write and sing my own, though not professionally. | | Movies | I am barely able to sit still enough to watch a movie--unless it's really really good like any of the new or old Star Wars, LOTR is awesome, The Fifth Element and a handful of others. | | Television | TV sucks. 99.9999% of it is the biggest waste of time and brain cells. I don't watch much of it. I don't have cable, but if I did it would probably remain on channels like animal planet and national geographic. | | Books | I've read so many books I cannot remember. A few shiners are The Dune Series and the few that his son wrote following the original, The incarnations of Immortality and anything by Pierce Anthony and anything remotely like that, LOTR of course, Neil Gaiman,....it's too much really.

About me:
I am a student, mother, nature-lover. I study Environmental science and sustainability at the University of Florida. I also study nature and I love to watch the way the world works, interacts, unfolds. I love to garden, work in the yard with my kids, fiance Jamey, and friends. I live for the weekends playing in the sun and caring for our chickens and gardens.We are building a sustainable farm a tiny bit at a time, though right now we're doing a lot of learning and experimenting. I also love yoga and tai chi. These precious moments fill my weekend. Classes, research and work fill my week(and weekend evenings frequently). These are the labors I love. I have studied reef ecology and biofuels separately. Currently I am studying Everglades ecology, how the landscape was formed, so we might better restore it. I guess I can be called a scientist-in-training eco-nut pagan-hippy. I love the ocean, the forest, the swamps, Florida, wilderness survival, science and research. I love to experiment and discovered early in life one can learn a lot by asking a question, causing a manipulation and observing the results. I just want to live in tune with nature and be able to explain how it all works together, how we fit in.

Anyone who feels a strong spiritual connection with the Earth and is doing something to change our world to match the natural one-or wants to and can't find their way off the beaten path...Anyone who also believes one of life's purposes is to learn and teach.
