I started singing when I was 3. Every weekend we had Karaoke night in our living room and I always had the microphone, I feel like I was just born to sing.
As I was growing up, I spent most of my time in my room with my Karaoke machines pretending , and dreaming I was in front of thousands of people. I used to write letters to God, praying for my dream to come true.
I was brought up singing Conway Twitty, Ronnie Milsap, Alan Jackson, keith whitley, I have been influenced by a lot of the older Country singers. When I was about 13, I started writing. Sometimes, I dont know what catagory to put my songs in. Some sound real country and some of them sound like a whole new genre of music which I like to call my own style :) I started playing guitar when I was 17, Im not the best picker, But it has helped me develop a better ear.
In June of "06" I Graduated from Western Tech High school. I studied cosmetology throughout high school and graduated with my cosmetology license. I went to Nashville to celebrate. It was my first time ever there and it felt magical! I was invited back to record a 3 song demo with Kelly Lang, 2 of these songs you will hear on my album :)
I sang with a band (The Esquires) in Baltimore almost every weekend @ the VFW's and American Legions, Until I decided to move on down to Texas! I packed up my trailblazer
and left home in March 2008. I felt like Texas had more to offer me in my music career, and I was right. I sang at some of the coolest places with "The New West Band", was featured on The Texas County Line Tv show several times, we released 2 singles from my debut album, Traveled around doing Radio interviews, made a Music Video and met some of the greatest people. I am currently recording some of my own songs @ Rosewood studios in TX. It is going to be Amazing, everyone is so talented, the producers, musicians, Everyone is just Great. I am so Thankful to have such wonderful friends helping me chase my dreams! okay...enough about me!!! I know God has his plan for me. He's just answering all the letters I wrote him :)
I can't end this without thanking the wonderful people who have been supporting me and helping me through all of this...
Thank you God for blessing me each and everyday of my life! Thanks for answering my prayers and for not answering some of them. I know there is a reason behind your every sign.
Thank you Cheryl, she believes in me like no other, I honestly believe she is an angel God has sent here to inspire people and help others be all that they can be.
Thank you to my Parents; I have the best parents anyone could ask for, they do all they can for me and want nothing more then to see me succeed and liveout my dreams.
