GigSwapping is about the 'exchange' (swap) of 'concerts' (gigs).
As an artist, musician, dancer or visual artist, you may be looking for some opportunities to perform abroad, or just in some other region in your country.
Or maybe you are a music lover prepared to host a visiting artist who is touring your vicinity. In either case, this is the project for you to join in with.
Our members share information on local stages, arts scenes, venues and local contacts. They host eachother and work together organising relay music tours, meet up for individual swaps and expand their boundaries - having a good time while at it.
As more and more people get in on this, the inspiration and opportunities grow for more and more individual swaps and group swaps to take place. Why should you be trying to make it all by yourself, when there's us ready to help out?
GigSwap started as a group within the wonderful Couchsurfing community (http://www.couchsurfing.com) but is crossing more borders every year.
Check www.gigswap.org for the latest news on our tours and concerts.
Join in the swap, exchange and enjoy!
