About me:

[WARNING: Page under MAJOR construction. More pics up soon!]

My name is Courey and I'm 22 years old. I live in Northern NJ (Bergen County) with my loving boyfriend and our 4 year old son, Logan. I am currently in the process of getting back into school with the aspirations to be a full-time career photographer. I love taking pictures of people. I enjoy taking portraits and head-shots. I like capturing people's candid moments and real emotions. I enjoy taking pictures of nature and architecture. I also LOVE black and white photography.

As an artist, I pride myself in the ability to bring a serious dose of creativity to everything I do. I am also a hard worker and handle everything I do with professionalism and dedication. I have experience taking portraits of children (Definitely my favorite hobby). I've also photographed a few bands and musicians. I also have experience in working with local organizations. I enjoy donating my time and services for such events and wish to do more in the future. Please do not feel apprehensive in asking or presenting your ideas.

Please take note, I am just starting out. I don't claim to be the most knowledgeable or experienced but I am very passionate about this and hope to one day make a living off of it, as that would truly make me happy.

I'm a digital photographer, not a digital artist which means I do not edit my models by slimming them down, changing their shape or enhancing their bodies in anyway. I also don't doctor in backgrounds. My shots are not manipulated. I only edit for color, contrast, and blemish repair. I prefer to shoot in available, natural light as it tends to feel more like a capture than a staged event to me. I consider myself more of an experimental photographer, meaning that I look for ways to find emotion in bizarre lighting situations or use of particular props. I'm all about capturing the mood, feeling, and personality of the model more than anything. I want the model to like my pictures and be satisfied that I'm capturing who they are and what they want to emulate.

Right now I'm looking to do some trade work with aspiring or advanced models (18 and up only please!), building their portfolios and expanding mine as well. Usually, a TF* shoot will last around 2 hours with one or two outfits, unless discussed otherwise. I'm not looking for any kind of compensation right now until I get more credit under my belt, I'm just looking to take some great photos. Please contact me if you're interested.

Who I'd like to meet:

Models and photographers, ranging from amateur to well-known. Photographers in the NJ area looking for assistance. Bands, musicians, artists, actors, comedians, etc. who would like press or promotional pictures taken. Anyone willing to share their knowledge, expertise, and/or equipment. Anyone wanting to work together on some ideas. Clothing and accessory companies and jewelry makers who may want promotional photos taken.
