Influences
the brains and wit of kids, which we feel, in general, do not get enough credit. We are also influenced by that suspicion that relatively normal things, like tomatoes or astrophysics, have interesting stories to tell. CS' Board of Education would also like to thank the weather, the 1920's, Martians, Veronica Mars, the electron transport chain (and cellular respiration in general!!), inchworms, and all the giant corporations of the world, and others, for giving us so much to sing about.
Sounds Like
A kind of annoying, yet somewhat interesting, under-trained teacher, who you know cares a lot, and yet sometimes goes on and on, but at the end of the day, you'd probably admit, taught you something interesting, despite the mess in the room, and the TV shows you missed.

there have been so many times in the last few days i've gone to use a comma, then stopped myself and asked "is this really necessary?" usually, it's not. thank you!
Ahahaha, I've been listening to your EP an embarrassingly high amount! I shouldn't be this into kids' songs, but how can I help it when they're just this good?
My mom walked into my room while I was listening to "Please Pay More Attention to Your Elbow" and said, "what the hell is this?"
I'm shocked. This is the most amazing batch of songs. Especially the Lonely Tomato. Songs with inserts of guys speaking in British accents win every contest ever.
