C-Skills and Prolific are the bosses of TRUE LIFE RECORDINGS, LLC., both reside in Tampa, FL, and have been making great hip-hop music there for several years. They met by chance while working on solo projects with Bryan Tyson of Deep Productions. The chemistry was immediate and the two put their solo projects aside and began working together. Teaming up together was an excellent move for both of them, because they had each developed followings and they simply fused the two fan bases. Skills and Pro are both seasoned veterans here on the Tampa hip-hop scene, so the people who knew them separately simply know them together now.

C-Skills and Prolific have put in a great deal of work since joining forces. The two emcees have a catalogue of over 250 songs and counting. All of which are industry ready. Skills and Pro actually completed a full length LP entitled, 5 MICS and put it on the market. 5 MICS, as its title would hint, was an instant classic and gained a cult following for the two emcees. C-Skills and Prolific wrote and produced 95% of the album and featured some of the Sunshine State's strongest vocal, hip-hop, and production talents. C-Skills and Prolific also released the CD under their own company, True Life Recordings, LLC. Skills and Pro have since grown their independent entertainment company and brought on three new members; Shawn October, Shonobi and C-Rena.

C-Skills and Prolific have also performed all over the Southern Regions, as well as many appearances on the Northeastern Coast. They have opened up for such artists as Scarface (Rap-A-Lot/ Def Jam South), Teairra Mari (Roc-A-Fella/ Def Jam), KRS-One (Koch Records), Mobb Deep (G-Unit Records), and Young Buck (G-Unit Records/ Aftermath). They have also been premiered and played on some of Tampa's top radio stations, such as 88.5 WMNF, 96.1 WTMP, and 98.7 WLLD (Wild). C-Skills and Prolific have also successfully headlined several of their own shows. Shows that they completely set up and ran themselves. C and Pro have also appeared on several local tv shows and in state-wide magazines. C and Pro have also performed at venues, such as Raymond James Stadium (Home of the Buccaneers), Fight Night in Ybor City (Professional Boxing), Club Underground, Club Harpo's, Club 7, Club Fuel, Masquerade, Euphoria, The Orpheum, Club Fuschia, Club Chills, Club Tropix, Club Classic, The Full Moon Saloon, Sweet Serennah's, Florida State University, FAMU, UCF, FAU, USF, UNF, Bethune-Cookman College and many others. At present, C-Skills are in the lab putting the finishing touches on TRUE LIFE RECORDINGS latest project: TRUE LIFE Presents Upscale Music: The Movement. This project is an all inclusive TRUE LIFE RECORDINGS effort. Every member of the TRUE LIFE company contributed their talents and time to the project.
