Being in a band I get to see lots of other bands for free, you can't beat live music and I wish more people would realise it. What I listen to mostly are strong and unique female singers, my main inspiration being P J Harvey. I like electro riot grrly stuff like Peaches and Le Tigre, and also dark tinged stuff like the Cure and Depeche Mode. I love dancing with my hands in the air (when drunk) so if I can do the 'screwing in the lightbulb' dance to it then it's all good. Metally stuff I love Opeth big time, CoF, Type O, Funeral... melody, shred, chug, doom goodness :)
Filmler
Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, Interview with a Vampire, Reality Bites, Willow, Princess Bride, the Crow, Sin City, Pan's Labyrinth, Big Fish (I cried), Edward Scissorhands, The Libertine, Chocolat (bit of a theme with those last three... ), 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later
Televizyon
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Powerpuff Girls, Never Mind the Buzzcocks (makes me howl with laughter) I want to adopt Simon Amstell as a pet :)

I have 2 x 35 minute train journeys every week day and when I'm not daydreaming I've got my head stuck in a book. My favourite authors are Margaret Atwood, David Mitchell, Angela Carter, Alan Garner, Haruki Murakami and Ursula Le Guin. I love trailing through 2nd hand book shops in search of interesting reads - especially Virago books - I pick those up whenever I see them. I wouldn't touch 'chick lit' with a very long barge pole.
Kahramanları
P J Harvey, Bjork, Tori Amos, Peaches, Kathleen Hanna, Kat Bjelland, Margaret Atwood, Twisty Faster, Janet Street Porter, Lady Sovereign. Women who do their own thing and have got where they are today because of their brains and talent not their face and/or body.
Charlotte here - bassist in all girl death doom band Severed Heaven. I live in a lovely Lancashire village and travel over the hills to Leeds rehearse/ gig/ party with my most uber Sev Heav ladies who I lurrve.
I've been playing bass for about 6 years now. I've been in and out of bands (but mostly in) since I was 14, starting off as a singer with a bit of rhythm guitar on the side. Then in the last couple of years of uni some friends of mine needed a bassist for their industrial band and decided I'd pick it up just fine. So they gave me a bass and I was off! (Nerve Harvest in my top friends). I've come a long way since then, mostly thanks to Severed Heaven :)
Most people think of me as very happy and smiley (and ask me what the hell I'm doing in a dark and doomy band like Sev Heav), and I am most of the time, but I also have my downs too, but tend to keep those to myself. I have a pretty stupid sense of humour, and for someone fairly bright I don't have that much common sense at times. I can be outgoing or quiet, depending who I'm with. I like interesting people. People who are different. I choose my friends for how unique they are I suppose, becuase I love that in a person. I like dressing up and going out to goth and electro nights, and dressing down the rest of the time. I'm not a very girly girl. I have no tattoos and no piercings, not even my ears. I think making extra holes in your body for fashion is a bit weird when you think about it, and that skin looks prettier without any scribbles on. Though I don't mind them on other people. I have an opinion on most things, because I have thought about them and decided where I stand, though I am always opent o change. I like to hear what other people think, and why they think what they do, if they too have really thought about it, and have a good old discussion. I guess it comes from doing Philosophy at Uni - every question leads to 10 more questions. I love to read. I love to walk in the countryside near where I live. I love to cook for people that I love.
I am a feminist, though Severed Heaven is not by any stretch of the imagination a 'feminist band'. This does not mean that I hate men. I like men. It just means that I think women should be given all the same rights and privileges as men in this world. Radical huh?
I am also crap at html, hence why this page looks a bit rubbish and there are no spaces in the paragraphs.
