we met yesterday for the first time this academic year. thanks to those who turned out! currently in the works is figuring out a time that will accomodate most folks tba soon.
how about bringing some social justice whatnot to our own backdoor? what is this: $940/credit hour? what are we, independently wealthy or helpless victims of the corporate machine? is there an alternative voice?
Here's an idea for the next Social Justice Group movie screening. I saw it last weekend, and it's mind boggling, disgusting, and terrifying all at the same time. Not to mention how this stuff will continue to play an enormous role in how we approach our practice.
Adrienne and I represented at the Universal Healthcare march and I saw a play that y'all really really should see--'Into the Continuum' it is only playing through Sunday night at the Goodman. It is a two woman show that explores HIV/AIDS in Zimbabwe and domestically with wit and emotional power.
In response to the bulliten about social justice interest in graduate students research... I am doing my dissertation on a very similar idea - keep me posted! I definitely am interested in helping out with this.
Yeah I always forget the reed white and blue thing... It looks really good with color though. My recycling surverys were missing today.....they got recycled....feel really stupid about that....
