Central Standard Time is an acoustic duo from eastern Iowa. They play original music and a handful of songs by other acoustic artists. Meaningful lyrics, tight harmonies and intertwining guitar arrangements are hallmarks of CST's music. Their sound has drawn comparisons to Simon & Garfunkel, Storyhill and John Denver.
That was actually only my second house concert, but they are really so much fun, I'm sure it won't be my last! Yeah, having it on Mother's day was kind of a gamble as far as getting a crowd, and we definitely could have had more people but those of us there had fantastic time! Maybe one of these times you can come down for one. Lots of cool people come through Cafe Paradiso here in town though, and it's such a great space, it's very close to the house concert atmosphere as well.
