Greetings from Houston, Texas, headquarters of the Music Beyond Borders Collective at KPFT!
Please tune in to KPFT 90.1FM Houston or www. kpft. org on Christmas Day December 25 and New Year’s Day January 1, from 2-3 pm local time when I will be hosting Music Beyond Borders. On Christmas Day, I will be presenting an entire hour of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ spiritual songs. On New Year’s Day, I will spin an hour’s worth of Juan de la Cruz Band, pioneers of Pinoy rock, including work from their respective solo albums and a special rendition of the Pinoy rock anthem Himig Natin performed live by Joey Pepe Smith which I recorded at the Manila Metropolitan Museum during the summer of 2007.
If you would like to send a Christmas shout out on the air, call me at 713-526-KPFT or 713-526-5738 during the show.
