The Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through services, education, advocacy, and research. Our mission is to enable people with epilepsy to understand, manage, and cope successfully with their disorder, and to further public understanding, reduce stigma, and increase acceptance of people with epilepsy.
The Epilepsy Foundation of Connecticut will hold its 24th Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, August 14th, 2010, at Zoars Pond in Middletown, CT. As in past years, 106.9 WCCC will be official radio sponsor.
This tournament will raise money in order to send children with epilepsy to summer camp and provide progress to services to people with epilepsy.

Dear Mud Volleyball Volunteers, Sponsors and Friends:
Thank you and your team members for supporting the 24th Annual Mud Volleyball Tournament. We had a banner year – a whopping 156 teams and revenue of $45,500. All of the money raised will be used to help people with epilepsy and their families in Connecticut.
Kudos to our 2009 champions, Muddy Blum Kins, and congratulations to Dirty Birds for coming in second. Both teams showed tremendous ability and determination playing against a record number of teams on a very hot day.
Many new and some returning $500 corporate teams joined the celebration this year, including: Purcell Associates, Bob’s Discount Furniture, Hoffman Ford, Prides Corner Farms, Physicians Ancillary Services, Metals Testing company, All Pointe Care, The Connection, Simpson Healthcare Executives, Maloney’s Pub and Kohl’s.
We are grateful to the WCCC crew, Mayor Sebastian Giuliano and the City of Middletown, and appreciate the support we received from Coca-Cola, All Waste, DeRita Construction, Stop & Shop, Middlesex Amateur Radio League, Connecticut Rental Centers, Indian Hill Tree Farm, MSC Industrial Supply, East PBE, Manchester Ice, Middletown Water and Sewer, and the State of Connecticut Agricultural Station.
An extra special thanks to Kevin McHugh, owner of Piccadeli Station for preparing the delicious meals this year, to Charlie Nash at East PBE, Inc., for donating his time and equipment to prepare the field, to Kara Philips, Susan Sheppard, Steve Dorau, Jeff Daniels, and Jeff Engler for their hard work and continued involvement with this event.
As in years past, we could not manage this event without the generosity and commitment of Debbie Hynd and Ken Ahnell, Coordinators with the State of Connecticut Department of Justice Community Services Program. We cannot do this without you!
My sincerest thanks and appreciation to each and every one of you for helping us improve the quality of life for people in Connecticut who have epilepsy.
See you next year! Best Regards, Linda A. Wallace, Executive Director.
We are already on te planning stages for the 25th Mud Volleyball Tournament and would like to do something special, if you have any ideas, please send suggestions
