I live in Toronto, Canada and work in a Bay Street tower where my biggest challenge is resisting the urge to crawl under my desk for a nap. 100 years ago I used to sing in roadbands as well as perform original songs at coffee houses….
In the last couple of years I’ve been blessed to meet people who have encouraged me to get back at it through Lisa Particelli's Girl’s Night Out (GNO) jazz jam at Chalkers Pub hosted by the with the fabulous Norman Marshall Villeneuve (drums), the awesome, flying fingers of Peter Hill and incomparable Ross McIntyre (bass). GNO is a welcoming supportive environment for singers from novice to professional and it SO beats karaoke at my local to get to sing with such great players!! I’m so grateful to have met such wonderful, warm-hearted singers and musicians through this group. They are my inspiration. I do gigs every couple of months at Gate 403 and other venues and am having a lot of fun.
My other interests are:
energy healing work (therapeutic touch, reiki), making miniature worlds in bowls as well as real (although lightweight) waterfalls, methods of living off-the-grid (who wants to be dependent on utility companies!!) and Alpacas and pygmy goats (cause they’re so gosh darn cute!)

I will really try to pop by GNO after my master class to get you some handouts and tickets. How many do you think you will need? Looking forward. Very excited.
I was very lucky (together with many satisfied guests in attendance)to be able to witness your successful debut as an excellent singing duo with your collaborator and friend Jana Cassidy. The lasting positive image from this memorable event justifies my believe that your musical future is very bright.....!
On my side of activities...., visit Google + Type "Ed Vokurka Prague Night of Glamour" for details of the very interesting happening at the U of T "Hart House", Wednesday, November 7th, 2007.
Wishing you continuation of many successful events in your musical career.
