Chris Treborn relocated to the Pacific Northwest from the Northern California in 2006 because a change in life was important. Instead of just performing and recording, Chris Treborn decided to flee fortune. Leaving all his material blessings behind, he knew he needed to pursue God more. More than ever before. The fast pace lifestyle was just too tedious, too trendy, and very much like a slow form of suicide.
It’s not just the passion for the music, but the passion to exclaim the truth! It is the passion to personify the very thing which has kept him alive - Chris Treborn’s relationship with Jesus Christ. Although he hasn’t always practiced Christian Values, he has struggled and seen both sides of the spectrum from the good, to the bad, to the ugly. He has always felt like he is a messenger of the good word, a positive message. As a sower of moral fiber, Chris Treborn knows he needs to stay inspirational and encouraging through his music, and his life.
Chris Treborn doesn’t let anyone think less of him because he is young, a poet, or a Christian. He’s an example to all in what he says, in the way he lives, in his love, his faith, his purity, and especially in his music.
Christian has been writing poetry since 1995 and in 1999 he started recording music. In 2001 he began recording under the label G-Rated Entertainment.
With his clean, uplifting lyrical content and unique production, Treborn has been creating his own style of music setting him aside from his peers.
What do you call this style besides sanctified?
Beyond your first impression or his label, you will notice Chris Treborn isn’t your average Holy Hip Hop artist or Christian rapper. He is a Christian first, and a poet second.. And As a poet he orchestrates his music appropriately to help the lyrics feed your brain and touch your heart.
His mouth speaks what is true, for his lips detest wickedness. And at the end of the day his goal is to inspire and encourage listeners regardless of age, sex, religion, or race.
