Everyone's favorite non-band band is back with their mulletless brand of Crock Pot Rock (Krock), Log Rock (Lock), Smog Rock (Smock), and Talk Rock (Tick-Tock Mega Rock)!
Ctrl Zed hit the scene a few years back with their smash album "Hey Julie, this is Pete." The following year saw massive sales with their sophomore debut of "Ninjas, Hiya!" which generated huge demand, so much so that their Greatest Hits album came out that same year.
Then tragedy struck when the band's mascot, Red Panda, was killed in a freak gun accident. Amid grief, agent disputes, band breakups, and viscious arsons, Ctrl Zed fell apart for several months. Band members didn't even talk to each other, even at the Red Panda's funeral, which was held in two separate states to accomadate the needs of the band members to "stay the heck away from each other."
This year, Ctrl Zed got back together. Rolling Stones Magazine touted the reunion as "nothing short of miraculous; we thought the Zed was dead; some of us hoped the Zed was dead." But the Zed was not dead.
Drummer Nigel Style received confirmation from beyond the grave in the form of Red Panda visiting him in a dream. "There are more songs to be sung," said Red Panda, and instructed Nigel in the ways of the Force and finding a second mascot, the ever rifle-intrigued Red Panda II. Agents contacted agents, royalty shares were finalzed, and a deal was struck between N and I over fresh strawberry milkshakes at the famous Taco Amigo.
The band hit the recording studio in August to cut their latest album, FOOD! which has already received huge press release. Rumor has it that the Zed has signed a lucrative deal with McDonalds to release Red Panda II action figures in their Super-sized Happy Meals.
Regretfully, not seconds after the last song of FOOD! was recorded, the band had an argument that led to them breaking up again.
However, there are talk--rumor, really--that the Zed may reuinite for one more album: "Ctrl Alt Delete." We can only pray. And hope.
