Biography:
The embryo of Cube:ism is born after an unfortunate cancellation from the singer during a concert in Frankfurt. The remains of "Orange" decides to carry out the concert anyway. While the concert was being performed, a new kind of energy came into force during the performance.
As the singer leaves the band autumn -05, Cube:ism is slowly beingestablished.
The remaining bandmembers are now Micke Nilsson (Guitar/Vox), Magnus Kallstrom (Base) and Per Forsberg (guitar). After a month of rehersal, without drummer, a note was received hanging on the microphone-stand. The note tipped Cube:ism about a drummer searching for a new band. Cube:ism directly hooked up with the awsome percussionist Rumi Kondo, as they immediatly felt connected.
Old songs where tossed away, new songs and lyrics was written. The bandname where changed into something that the bandmembers together could believe in and stand for together, as one unit. Vocals was taken over by Micke, with backup Vox from Per and Magnus. Simultaneously the music grew with the bandmember and changed its sound into something more personal for all the four members of Cube:ism. The Music ended up to be something between Punk and EmoPop, with a touch of Core and something else really strange that evidently fits in for some reason.
The Lyrics is about lifes significance, becoming an adult, don't let dreams get crushed because the society says otherwise. About Soldiers, Weapons, Drugs, Bad leaders. Or about a fake freedom of speech, and our everyday heroes.
The First Recording with Cube:ism was recorded November -05, at Studio Fashinasion Street, in Cube:ism..s hometown Orebro, Sweden.
A numerous amount of shows (Alcazar Nalen and Tivoli in Helsingborg among others), 3 german tours, positive reviews and 5 radio interviews later on Cube:ism initiated a collaboration with the recently started Promotion Agency 8-Track from Göteborg. Cube:ism's second release was the EP "Your hero is dead, we're the substitutes". Recorded at Studio 19 and Prism Sound Laboratories.
Mixed and Mastered by Daniel Muhr at Prism Sound Laboratories.
During another unfortunate event Rumi Kondo has to leave the country. Once again Cube:ism is devestated by the nightmare:istic news.Shortly after suicidal tendenses grew bigger in the band, Micke asks his dear friend Magnuz Holm to join the march. He does. Once again Cube:ism was complete. Rumi will forever be in our hearts, and Magnuz will forever be with us at our shows.
Shortly after Magnuz joined the alliance, Cube:ism engaged a brief colaboration with Zorch Productions and Studiefrämjandet. What might this colaboration be, you might ask?
We promise to talk about it as soon as it's out in the open, but right now it's behind closed doors.
What's our next goal?
Spread the word of our existance, our message and our love for what we have faith in.
