Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, David Cuddy graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and has a Masters of Business Administration from Gozanga University.
Cuddy was elected to the Alaska State legislature and served one term. He worked for the First National Bank of Alaska for 22 years, starting as a bank teller and ending as the President of the bank.
Cuddy also served as a state governor appointed board member of the Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline Authority which is building a 20 billion dollar pipeline across Alaska.

Developing ANWR
Dave Cuddy supports responsible development in ANWR.
US Energy Policy
Dave Cuddy is for decreasing dependence on foreign energy. He supports market-driven alternatives, green energy sources and conservation methods.
2nd Amendment Rights
Dave Cuddy supports the Second Amendment Individual right to keep and bear arms.
National Defense
Dave Cuddy is for a strong defense, and is for an orderly withdrawal of troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, sooner rather than later, but without announcing our timetable for withdrawal. Dave opposes a foreign policy that has the US playing world policeman.
The Patriot Act
We can both preserve our freedoms and respond to threats against that freedom.
Illegal Immigration
Dave Cuddy is against amnesty and preference programs, as well as providing social services to illegal immigrants beyond emergency humanitarian aid and medical care. Dave is for increased border security and increased penalties for hiring illegal immigrants, once a working ID system is in place. The ID system must be fixed to eliminate fraud.
The Real ID Act
Dave Cuddy does not support the Real ID Act as written, but he recognizes the need for a secure and reliable form of identification.
The Right to Life
Dave Cuddy opposes abortion, except in cases where the life of the mother is in danger, or in cases of incest or rape.
