  • Bio

Beginning as a good-time collective that borrows from bluegrass, old-style honky tonk and a wee bit of drinker-friendly gospel, the Culls eventually evolved into a backing a band for founding member R. Overwater. To this day many of the original members can still be seen joining him on stage and in the studio. When they dig out the cover tunes they are usually old-timey bluegrass and old/outlaw country. If yer lookin' for glossy new-country stuff, keep right on movin', stranger. Petersen and Overwater also play in a country-punk-metal band called Black Dirt of the West. Michael Platt is also in The Ruminants. New guitarist David Read can be heard with Rick on their many acoustic-duo shows. .. .. .. .. ...... Layout by ..CoolChaser.. .. .. ...... .. .. .. .. .. ..
