Culture Promotions /Culture Arts has been in the business of roots and cultural administration, management, promotion and marketing from the early 80’s. Nicky Ezer aka Nicky Culture has had a positive love of reggae and world music since her teens but only became actively involved as a Promoter and Radio Presenter with the music from the early 80’s.
Although London based she lived in Exeter, Devon for a number of years and was part of the foundation of Torquays 400 club reggae nights, Totnes Civic Hall, Exmouth Sea Front and the Universities Lemon Grove hosting artists like Burning Spear, Aswad, Bim Sherman and early Soul to Soul sessions.
Culture Promotions has promoted shows in nearly every London venue and around the UK. Nicky was a foundation stone in booking and managing all reggae artists for Essential Festival – originally based in Brightons Stanmer Park the event hosted 1000 people in 1991 and over 40 000 ten years later in Hackney Marshes!
From the Reggae Sunbeat Festival in Kenya in 1995 to Boss Sounds Reggae Festival in Newcastle in 2008, Culture Promotions strives to create and deliver the best reggae opportunities for both audience and artists.
Culture Promotions offers a unique service. It is an Agency, Management Company, and Promoter blessed together. The work is all about forwarding roots and culture vibrations, making roots music popular and providing a positive and honourable Black Arts administration service.
