Culver City Peace Vigil Statement
In regards to the tragedy of the United State's occupation of Iraq many U.S. soldiers and Iraqi civilians have had their bodies torn apart by military weapons. Greater than 700,000 Iraqi civilians, many of them children have been killed.
Death and destruction continue unabated. There are now approximately 4 million Iraqi refugees. Bordering countries are overwhelmed by Iraqi civilians seeking a safe place.
Occupation is based on continuous lies, starting from the very beginning. Everything in Iraq is being destroyed: the water supply, the electricity grids, the infrastructure. There is environmental devastation all around, including growing fields, by depleted uranium, cluster bombs, and chemicals which do not respect boundaries. This occupation should have never taken place.
END THE OCCUPATION NOW!
BRING HOME US TROOPS!
PULL OUT CORPORATE MERCENARIES!
CLOSE US MILITARY BASES!
