Susan Cunniff and Paul Mageau have been performing in the Greater Boston area since they first met in 2000. Paul learned to play guitar when he was ten years old and has played all styles including rock, funk, pop, jazz and blues. His versatile style, influenced by Tommy Emmanuel, James Taylor, Pierre Bensusan, and Tuck Andress, ranges from rhythmic to richly melodic. Both his original compositions, and his arrangements of acoustic jazz, contemporary folk and blues ballads blend beautifully with Susan's warm, silky, alto voice.
Susan has a sweet, rich tone and an emotive vocal style which draws from her musical influences: Eva Cassidy, Diana Krall, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, and Barbara Streisand. Her voice could be described as a cross between Eva Cassidy, Linda Ronstadt and Anne Murray/Karen Carpenter. Together they may remind you of Tuck and Patti, or Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, or Kukla, Fran and Ollie.
Thank you so much for being a part of the CD Release Party!! We really had a blast- it was impossible not to with such an awesomely supportive crowd- so thank you!!! Hope to see you soon, -Elizabeth
Thanks for coming out! It is a daunting task to have to play in front of so many great musicians! Especially that Cuniff and Mageau!!! See you at the factory...
Hey there, Here's one from left field... Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat? A while back I came across some very disturbing information, which inspired me to make this video: Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4 Both artistic (ensure you've good enough sound to enjoy the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice. Though the source materials are somewhat aged, the fundamentals remain relevant today. I encourage all to visit the YouTube web page above to learn more (Show your support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly re-post and circulate as widely as possible. Help to raise awareness. Say have you checked out my web site (www.faberoptime.com) recently? Take care and keep in touch. Best, Faber. "Just a guy trying to make the world a better place."
