We have had the sweet, sweet pleasure of sharing stages with Dinosaur Pile Up, Wintersleep and Little Comets to name but a few and we love it when people have a listen. Go on...
"What’s in a name? Describing themselves as “an irritation before the main event” Curators are anything but. Their name may suggests little - should we expect punk, metal, eurodisco? Who knows (I’d have said electropop myself)?
In the event, I guess, alt.rock may be the pigeonhole of choice, the 4-piece making perfectly executed guitar tunes big on anthemic choruses and catchy hooks. What is apparent is that the four members are in perfect harmony - literally, backing vocals ringing out lustily and guitars being flailed at in synchronised form, like cogs in a human threshing machine. ‘State of Grace’ is tops for its insistent riff but rivaled by a newie with chorus “close the windows or our souls will fly away” which stays in the head all the way through the interval." - Is This Music?
"Neater than hospital corners, they brought everything to a perfect close in a way that almost nobody does anymore...nice attention to detail, good humour and wow, what about that ending!" - Is This Music?
Wowl! Three Hits "a whistle-infused flash of feral pop" The Skinny
Withered Hand Good News "It is quite some time since a debut release has placed 10 such perfect songs back to back." The Glasgow Herald
Thomas Truax Songs From The Films of David Lynch "It's the best kind of tribute - affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." The Scotsman

You see Aberdeen are the tortoise, happily dropping points will nilly and playing as if there isnt even a race. Dundee United on the other hand are the Hare. Racing off the blocks, desperate to get that elusive third spot. Near the end of said race, Dundee United start thinking about things too much(how this year could be the first year in 8 years they will finish ahead of the mighty Dons) and then eventually fall asleep, whilst the slow burning Dons, momentum and all, pip you to the post in the last second of the race. You knows it man!Haha
Anyway, i am currently in Aberdeen taking care of business like a true G, but i will def be in touch the next time i am in the burger. Vice versa if you are ever in the city of Granite. Are you ever on msn, if so holla and let me hear what new ditties you have come up with! I will be starting up the old Struck Dum engines again very shortly. Oh and Turn The Lights Down is still possibly my favourite song ever!
