Curbside Confessions is a film revolving around four unrelated stories that come together on one night. Each story has its own unique theme dealing with difficult life decisions characters are confronted with. Curbside Confessions breaks the stereotypes of how a good person, or bad person, should act under given circumstances. It deals with how real people deal with tough decisions threatening their humanity. Doing the right thing may be a difficult decision, but it doesn't change the fact it is the right thing to do....
Curbside Confessions touches upon real world issues such as prejudice, violence, drugs, and the like, but that is not what Curbside Confessions is truly about. This film is about how ordinary people can prevail over such issues. How a person can change and grow through their experiences. Curbside Confessions is not about hatred, aggression, and abuse; it is about redemption, love, loyalty, reunion, morality, overcoming prejudice, humanity, and doing the right thing... no matter the cost.

Gavin Draven is an undercover cop working the underworld as a freelancer (man for hire). His cover is so deep his own family and fellow officers are unaware of his assignment. The ..official.. story is he turned to a life in crime after being relieved from duty for acts of excessive force. Going deep undercover has allowed Gavin to go after criminals head on without the restrictions most cops have to deal with on a day to day basis, but at a price. Gavin gave up his old life including his family to protect his identity. Gavin fights the criminal underworld from the inside, while attempting to maintain his morals, a task not easily done.
Shelly Rosdale is an attractive female reporter working for a local TV station. She is driven to make a change, to make Memphis a better place to live by exposing the criminal underworld one story at a time. She believes that she has the right to share the truth with the public, no matter the nature of the story. Sometimes her drive to share the truth causes harm. Her career almost came to an abrupt halt after releasing a controversial story on undercover cops and their craft, putting identified police officers in harms way, and forcing others to go deeper undercover. Sometimes her lust for knowledge gets her, and others, in a lot of trouble.
Justin Draven is a good kid whose best friend, Tyrone Broomfield, keeps the two of them in a lot of trouble. Regardless of the trouble Tyrone gets them into, Justin loves and respects him like a brother. Justin is a man of few words and actions, but chooses each word and action carefully. He is selfless and would do all that he could for a loved one in need. Justin..s personal ties with Tyrone put him in close proximity with the criminal underworld, something he isn..t proud of.
Ross Hitcher works for a local drug supplier, Lester Chesterfield, as a drug runner. Ross transports product from his supplier to dealers in the regional area. Ross dates Lester..s niece Arnita Chesterfield. Ross and Arnita keep their relationship secret, for they know Lester is not keen on the idea of his niece getting involved with any of his employees, especially someone outside of her ethnicity. Ross is close friends with Jarold Combs, narcotics distributor, one of Lester..s many clients. Together they plan to one day corner a portion of the domestic drug market.
Alexis Chesterfield is Lester Chesterfield..s only niece. When her father died, Lester took her into his care, taking her away from her mother, who she has not seen since. She loves her uncle but hates the world he has created. Vowed to never become involved with someone in the drug world, Arnita fell helplessly in love with Ross Hitcher. They keep their love affair secret, for fear Lester will do all that he can to end it. She is torn by her love for the two closest men in her life; Ross and Lester.
Lester Chesterfield is a man of great pride and intellect. Raised on the streets, Lester climbed the ranks of the drug world to become one of the most powerful drug providers/traffickers in the region. Lester takes great pride on escaping the streets, something he reminds people of frequently. Once a user, Lester is drug free and forbids any family or employees from using drugs. At one time illiterate, Lester now spends much of his time educating himself on culture, arts, and the like. Lester is not keen on his niece, under his care, dating any employees, especially anyone other than her ethnic origin. Lester prides himself as a business man providing a product to his customers, same as any business. He doesn..t bother himself with moral issues concerning drug use. His employee/bodyguard Shaun Dexter is his only real friend.
Shaun Dexter is Lester..s personal body guard. Lester took Shaun off the streets, cleaned him up and gave him a job. For that he is very grateful. Shaun is loyal to Lester, always doing Lester..s bidding without question. Shaun sees Lester more as a friend than employer. Shaun is equally protective over Arnita, though their relationship is not so candid. Shaun is well aware of the fact that Lester views his employment as a means to exhibit it power and influence across cultural boundaries. Shaun does not allow this to influence his loyalty and affection for his employer.
Ray Bradburn is a professional hitman long in his career. What he lacks in physique he makes up in experience and intelligence. Ray has been in the game long enough to know a sharp mind and the right connections will you carry you far. Ray tends to share his vast wisdom with the people he encounters in his line of work, spouting off quotes from famous works of literature and advice, just before killing them. He is after a package that was stolen and his reputation is on the line. Ray longs to retire, but must finish this one last job before he may do so, even if it cost him his life.
Vincent Castle, like Ray, is a professional hitman. The two have worked together for many years. They get along so well they refuse to work with anyone else. Vincent sees Ray as his mentor, never questioning his judgment. He is a man of many actions, words of few. He has an arrogant way about him; it can be seen in his body language and heard in his tone. He is fond of gambling, stiff drinks, and loose women-- elements he often incorporates in his work. He is very protective of his partner and often puts himself in harms way for Ray..s safety.
Jarold Combs is a drug distributor ambitious beyond his capabilities. He longs to take over Lester Chesterfield..s empire, but lacks the power to do so. Jarold is a small fish in a big pond who attempts to convince people otherwise. Many of his good ideas are mimicked from his employer and credited as his own. Close friend of Ross Hitcher, Jarold trusts Ross with various critical assignments. He hopes the two of them will one day forge an empire together. Jarold listens close to the word on the street, which pays off at times. Jarold knows he is a small gear in a big machine and it scares him. He employees various people: Tucker, Marvin, Sabrina, Ross, and Bubba.
Tucker Thomas .. Tucker Thomas, Double T, grew up on the streets. Tucker has been in the business long enough to have his own outfit, but lacks the desire to do so. With many friends in powerful places Tucker could pull enough strings to make just about anything happen on the streets. Regardless of his power and clout Tucker enjoys working as a body guard to the highest bidder. Tucker has been around long enough to know who..s legit and who..s all talk, something that makes Jarold very nervous.
Liv Foxford .. Liv can be found at just about any party looking for love and fun in all the wrong places. Desperately looking for companionship and acceptance Liv puts herself in compromising situations that she later regrets. She has a reputation as a party girl looking for drugs and physical companionship. Nothing could be further from the truth. She longs to be loved and respected, desires that always seem to elude her.
Tin Man is a professional by every sense of the word. Not much is known beyond his reputation as a calculative, remorseless killer with a perfect record. Tin Man is quiet, disturbingly so. When he does speak he chooses his words carefully. Those who meet Tin Man don..t often live long enough to meet him again.
Tyrone Broomfield is known for his addictive personality, he can..t even trust himself. If it weren..t for his best friend Aaron keeping him out of trouble Tyrone would be held up somewhere in a jail cell, or worse. He just can..t keep himself from giving into his selfish impulses. Word on the street is he owes a lot of money from drug shipments he ..lost..; speculation is he can..t keep his hands off the product. Tyrone tries to do the right thing, but just can..t seem to get it right.
Mike Thorton is a professional transporter, known for transporting high value packages for the local/domestic underworld. He has a long successful history as a transporter and prides himself having never lost a shipment. If it is valuable, dangerous, and time sensitive, Mike Thorton is the only man for the job. His services come at a high price, but they are worth every penny.
Guss Raposa is a local crime lord who governs a considerable portion of the criminal activity taking place in the city. Guss.. offices are located in a warehouse he uses to front many of his illegal shipping activities. A man of his stature doesn..t have to be on the forefront of criminal activity, putting himself in harms way, but enjoys the rush of directing his troops head on. Not known for his generosity or kindness, Guss is effective at getting the job done, sometimes even ruthless.
Gabe Ward .. Gabe leads Guss.. rag-tag band of goons in the field. Born into a family of crime Gabe accepts his way of life head on. His way of life affords him power and puts him in harms way, he loves it. Although midway on the totem pole, Gabe enjoys the limited amount of power and reputation his family name affords him.
