About me: Hello all my name is Kimberly, I am just getting started here so bare w/ me. I am 31 yrs old & have was diagnosed w/ ENDO @ the age of 18. I went through 4 doctors in 5 yrs-all of which told me I was "fine". That's 5 yrs of going undiagnosed. . :'>(
I couldn't take the pain & lack of diagnosis any longer so I took myself to the library, pulled practically every book off the shelf the had to do with pelvic pain & came across ENDO. It was like reading my life story. From that moment on I knew no doctor was going to tell me I was fine.
The next doctor I saw I told him I had ENDO & explained to him what Ive been going through the past five years & that I read about ENDO & this is how I knew I had it. Sadly to say I had to convince my doctor to give me a Laproscopy in which he was extreemly sceptical of preforming.
After I had awoke from my first Lap, I say him standing over my bed w/ this look of sympathy on his face.
I was already in stage 3. He apologized for his skeptisim & has been my doctor ever since.
I have 7 laps since then- going for my 8th next month been in & out of induced menopause & am now in the 5th & final stage & looking at having a full Hysterecomy. Needless to say I am going for a second opion. . This is where I am @ in my journey of suffering, tourmenting pain, sickness & emotional distress.
I am starting a page to bring a support system together for all of out there who desparetly need it. Somewhere to vent & ask questions any day any time to people who care & know exactly the HELL you are going through.
So bare w/ me I am just starting to put together this page :>)
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet everyone & anyone suffering from this terrible disease to share their stories, thoughts, tramtments, feelings & experiences- good & bad in the need of support to others.
Please ask questions I may not be able to give you the answers but someone else may be able to :>)
Believe that without REAL ONES you are missing out on a lot!!!
