About me:

Committed to a Cure www.ata.org. The American Tinnitus Association exists to cure tinnitus through the development of resources that advance tinnitus research. 50 million Americans experience tinnitus. Of those, 12 million have chronic tinnitus and 2 million Americans are totally disabled from their tinnitus. Currently, tinnitus is the number-one service connected disability of returning veterans from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. Founded in 1971 by pioneer tinnitus researcher Dr. Jack Vernon and Dr. Charles Unice, a tinnitus sufferer, the organization has supported over 93 projects focused on curing tinnitus and has vastly advanced the knowledge body on the genesis and treatment of tinnitus.
