Influences' Souvenir ' From the meadow to the lake from the dying breath i take there's a story to be told but like everything it's growing old-just growing old. As she takes the night train home back to all the things she's ever known. She'l pretend from time to time that the game she plays is working fine but there's no one on the line. cant tell a soul cant tell it all Another time another place a secret smile upon your face keeping everything inside a souvenir from one you left behind but you won't let this change your life it's just a crazy way too pass the time no nothings ever gonna change because you know that you can't run away - run away. can't tell a soul can't tell it all Lyrics copyright Rob Metcalfe - go check him out !!

   About The Linton Institute
Born in Rothbury Northumberland in 1961, Pete Shields spent the first 5 years of his life in his beloved Linton, a tiny mining village near Ashington. Pete now lives in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and has teamed up with Ryan Holleywell to form THE LINTON INSTITUTE - a name taken from Pete's grandads watering hole. The third permanent member of THE LINTON INSTITUTE is Alan Brett, bass player with Pete's old band The Peacock Page. Other contributions come from David Shields on bass and Damon Downs on guitars. In Pete's flat in Meden Vale, near Mansfield, THE LINTON INSTITUTE record his songs on a Tascam portastudio.

Hi Pete,
thanks for finding me:-)
Did we meet at AFC Radio chat this week already??
Yeah, Rob is a friend of mine. We met first on myspace and then a few month ago in Winsford at de.bees. So he is a friend of my love Scottish John.
That was much fun, looking at each other face to face and knowing that we knew already:-) I like his music very much, but yours as well. Listened to your tunes a few times so far.
Would be nice to keep in touch, found a pretty nice community here on myspace. Rick does a very good job on the radio, does he?
Would love to get to know you in "real" life as well. Where are you from? There are planned a few gatherings in the near future...

Greetings Pete*
'Tis a small world so it is.
I have your friends album would you believe? We both released albums at roughly the same time and i remember seeing a review of it and the fact that, he too had written a song called 'Astronaut,' So, naturally curious, i went and purchased a copy.
Its a lovely album, he's a talented lad.
I shall have a butchers at your good pages, just as soon as i've fed the kids.
Regards
Paul
