About me:
I'm a 29-year-old, single Atlanta resident. Things I love include hiking, playing tennis, dining, snowboarding, kayaking and rafting, meeting people from a variety of cultures, spending time with family and friends, volunteering in my community, reading, science and critical thinking, writing, listening to music, and many other things.I'd love to meet other positive people around the Atlanta area who enjoy getting together to volunteer around town to help improve the community for the better.
I work as a business application developer for a small technology consulting firm in Alpharetta. We specialize in small to medium-sized custom business applications and in information worker technologies like Sharepoint for portals and collaboration. I worked at the CDC before that and learned a lot about science and community activism while there.
I am an aspiring writer and my blog is where I do most of my writing and podcasting, exploring topics that I am curious about or have something to share, usually regarding science, nature, and everyday life. Visit the Curious Eternal Podcast to hear me reading some of my writings. The text of each essay is available here in the MySpace blog.
My favorite blog / podcast I've done is named "Harry Potter Meets Doc. Brown." If you enjoy it, send me a comment!
Here is a podcast player for the MP3 files from my first collection of essays entitled ..Metamorphosis..:
I am also the Curator for Life for the ..Carola L. Gough Art Gallery.. in Second Life. If you have a Second Life account, drop Josh Jeffries a message and I'll give you a tour. Carola is my 95-year-old great grandmother! She has been painting for 77 years. Here is a preview:
