Curious George & The Agent is the brainchild of Michael Godsmark and Daniel Gent, two mates, who’s love of all things underground took them from friendship to studio partners. Dan (The Agent) has been into music production since 1999, experimenting with every sequencer and sound module he could lay his hands on while Michael (Curious George) has been a DJ since 2004 playing various local clubs and more recently has secured himself a position as resident at the prestigious Area 51 in Manchester.

Once the duo began their production partnership things started moving very quickly. By the end of 2008 they had 10 tracks released, picking up early support from some of the biggest players on the scene including Roger Sanchez and Carl Cox.

An impressive first year and 2009 has continued at an escalated pace when the duo where signed to the newly formed MUM Record Label (Manchester Underground Music). Their first release on MUM was part of the launch package “The Awakening EP” and their track “Taxman” was an instant hit picking up support across the board, cementing their place on the up and coming label.

Following this they released “Continuum” which charted high on many of the major download sites and brought them to the attention of Riley & Durrant who invited them onto their highly regarded NuBreed show on Galaxy FM, which exposed Curious George & The Agent to a massive national audience.

Their single Cyber Crime on MUM received a 10/10 from the mighty Carl Cox and their profile continues to rise with remix and production work for various respected labels and producers including Mark Trophy, Sonny Wharton, Daley Padley, Iain Taylor, Rudi Stakker and more.

Right now the dynamic duo continue their quest with the high profile residency at Area 51 Djing alongside the likes of Jesse Rose, Smokin Jo, Tim Green, Inland Knights. On top of this they have their long standing residency at The Loft in Preston and have secured a date at the Kendal Calling Festival in July (alongside Stanton Warriors & Mike Skinner to name a few), dates in Ibiza and gigs taking them around the world to be confirmed plus they are about to start their own radio show in June (details to be announced).

Curious George & The Agent are fast establishing themselves as the ‘new kids on the block’ – the ones to watch. Their new “Serious EP” a monster 4 track release on MUM, leaves you in no doubt of their intent and determination.
