About me:

Hello! I'm Robin, and I am a 24-year-old grad student in North Carolina--I received my Bachelor of Arts in English on May 11th, 2007 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In August 2007, I jumped right back into school, starting on my Masters in Middle-Grades Education, but I had to drop out of my student teaching due to physical pain and a despondent mental/emotional state. Teaching was indeed an educational experience, but more for me rather than my students, I'm afraid. I am now at home, convalescing with the help of my parents and my awesome boyfriend of one year. Both my family and his family have been incredibly supportive of my decision to halt my education degree...I am very lucky. I am looking forward to finding the career I was meant to follow.

I am a nurturing, forgiving person typically, and I "put up with a lot" before I really lose my temper (though I get frustrated kinda easy, lol). I love doing stuff for other people, because it helps me feel useful and needed. Being depended on is one of the greatest feelings for me, and yet one of the most stressful at times, since I am human and often fail. As a sometime extrovert, I make beelines for people who are sitting by themselves or looking sad, because another one of the greatest feelings for me is knowing that I've cheered someone up or made a friend.

    grrr ok I'm slow. I had 2 windows opened w/ facebook in them, and I signed out in one forgetting that I had your note opened in the other. SOOO this comment is referring back to the note you wrote on facebook. ::Ahem:: I am terribly sorry that things worked out for you in the manner that they did. On a happy note at least you are back to being yourself. You should never do something that makes you unhappy, no matter what anyone tells you. Kudos to you for being brave enough to do what you did. *hug* I think that you should be a novelist, editor, and song writer all wrapped up into one! (Wouldn't that be a hectic life, oh my.)
