CU*RI*OUS: Beyond or deviating from the usual or expected; Eagerly interested in more. I am a singer, songwriter & a bass player, this is my music. I was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. I’ve been playing bass and singing in bands since my early teens. All of this led me to here and now. Creating music for me is a way of life; an attempt to fill the void that other things have created. It is a passion, an addiction, a source of great pleasure and an awful pain.
About Something Worth Fighting For:
I think it was May of 2007 when I decided it was time for me to record my first full album, and the race was on… I had no idea what I'd gotten myself into. For the past year and a half I've spent a lot of time at my home studio, working on these songs, deciding on parts, production, guitar sounds, arrangements, programming, writing lyrics, rewriting lyrics, loving the songs, hating the songs, rewriting, changing my mind, changing my mind back, and driving Travis crazy with changing arrangements and parts.
In November 2007 we started tracking, thinking I’d got it all figured out... Well I was wrong, I hated how everything sounded, it was not how I heard it in my head ....it was just not right, so in December of 2007 I pulled out of the studio and took the next 3 months to figure out how I wanted this record to sound. In that time I wrote a few more songs, and the picture started to get a lot clearer to me. In April of 2008 we started tracking again, and from April until December that was pretty much all I did.
I spent a lot of time alone in my home studio working on this record, but had it not been for these people who helped me in so many different ways, I would have not been able to: Joe <3 , Travis, who was there with me from the inception of this record, through all the frustrating moments, and the happy awesome moments when things were coming together right. Rae, who was in and out of this record just in the right times and with great resources and amazing knowledge. Keith who got it all started again, and with the most awesome guitars and amps collection. Paul, who was always there to help with everything from programming to tracking vocals and editing, Ben, who let me use The Mix Room to record vocals with my budget, and Mark Needham who mixed this record and brought it all to life.
Each one of the 12 songs on this CD has a feel of its own and represents something different to me. I hope it will trigger something in you, maybe even something worth fighting for.....

Hello there!
I hope life’s treating You fine…
I just uploaded ‘ID part 3; DARK MAZE OF THE LIBIDO’! It’s not exactly Schubert but it’s PERFECT for playing video games under influence. Anything that affects the central nervous system should do… except anti-psychotics. If You are currently on these, You might consider skipping one. What’s the worst thing that could happen? The end of mankind? Well… that’s exactly the worst thing that could happen. So, do evaluate Your level of access to weapons of mass destruction beforehand and proceed accordingly, PLEASE.
I hope You’ll enjoy the piece. Your comments are, as always, welcome and much appreciated…
I wish You all the best!
Peace and love,
Basil.

P.S. Under the circumstances I would like to humbly dedicate my composition to the people of Cyprus who are being blatantly robbed by domestic and international gangsters.
