We've been playing the music we wanted to hear and respecting the music we created for over 10 years and this feels like family....when i caught his eye we connected....To all the bands who have been going for years - we salute you. And now some latest CC news.... CC songs written last year for the new album: 'Glory' sounds like Ozzy Osbourne, Led Zeppelin and Bob Marley disscussing Satre and Intuition....and "Skeletel Jane" an Ian Dury-esque song about a self harming emo girl.....a Punk mash up of society's contradictions; "Old man was a racist, he wore a racist hat" and a funky Woodstock style epic "Midsummer night" ..... 'Happy Man' - a yiddish ska funk..... and a song to stay in and funk with your girlfiend to...'brown eyed girl'.
The latest songs we're working on this year: 'Intro this Feeling' is like smashing Pumpkins covering Jefferson Airplane. The Mighty Boosh inspired and mycologists favorite 'Mushroom'. Imagine the Stooges play Stones for 'Dog'. 3 others we're jamming on, sound like Rory Gallagher, David Coverdale, Syd Barratt, Ike Turner, Chuck Berry and Can. We are recording later this year, but we'll be playing these tunes live this summer.

Curly Circus were formed in 2000 when brothers Dan (vocals) and Bruce (drums), Andy (bass) and Tim (guitar) teamed up with Dale (keyboard) and Charlie (flute) to add depth to the sound.
By 2003 Curly Circus had recorded their first album ‘the Curly Circus’, supported the likes of Dodgy and the Blockheads, received attention from national music press, Dave the Clown completed the line up and Curly Circus were crowned Essex Battle of the Bands champions.
2005 saw Curly Circus play festivals with the Levellers and a sell out show at The Royal Albert Hall.
Curly Circus recorded their follow up double album ‘Come to Town’ having said farewell to Charlie (flute) and Jamie replacing Andy on bass.
‘Come to Town Part 1’ was released in 2006. A series of local independent self-promoted showcases saw the Curly Circus collaborate with London Hip Hop crew ‘Royal Priesthood’ for the Love Music Hate Racism charity.
Late 2006 saw Joe come in to replace Jamie on bass. We are now writing new material and will aim to record it autumn 2008.
With a sound unique and diverse, it’s easy to see why comparisons have ranged from Led Zeppelin, Madness, The Clash, The Blockheads, The Chili Peppers and James Brown.
Incredible live performance energy led Blockheads’ sax player to describe Curly Circus as: “…the best band I’ve ever seen…”
Matt Priest, drummer in Dodgy, after the support show: “…a riotous noise came from the stage…I rushed out of the dressing room…very funky.”
